Bio

I was raised in Monrovia, Atchison County Kansas. I attended Monrovia Grade School, Atchison County Community High School in Effingham and graduated from Benedictine College. I have enjoyed a career as an art director/creative director in the Kansas City advertising community for over thirty years. My interest are Civil War history particularly the border war between Missouri and Kansas and the history of Monrovia and Atchison County Kansas.

I am currently doing research on the Nottingham, Geiger, Parker, Yocum, Foley, Bradley and Ledington families.

I have a vested interest in the Monrovia cemetery as it overlooks and adjoins my family farm. My father served on the Monrovia cemetery board for many years and my younger brothers and I mowed that cemetery for most of our teenage years.

If you add a duplicate memorial or move your previously "unknown" location memorial to a cemetery where I already have a memorial, please do not contact me, demanding that I remove my memorial. Find A Grave rules state that the first memorial in the correct cemetery for an individual is the original even though you have moved a memorial with an earlier date, from another location.

Thanks, Steve
