My family originated in England and I also have Native American roots. My ancestors are BASS, HOOSIER, HOLLIE, ASHWORTH, GOINS, NICHOLS & PERKINS amongst others. The BASS'S landed in Virginia and migrated to North Carolina. John HOOSIER married Jeremiah's daughter, Nancy Charity Bass. John was living in North Carolina near Jeremiah Bass when the boundary line for Tennessee moved. At this point they became citizens of Carter County Tennessee. They followed the Natchez Trace to Natchez Mississippi where they both received land grants. When Jeremiah died, John and Nancy Charity Bass, his wife, pulled up stakes and moved to Louisiana settling in the Neutral Strip. Most of my family stayed in Louisiana, but some moved on into Texas. My BASS and HOOSIER Ancestors are some of the first settlers of Virginia, North Carolina (See Bass's Choice), Tennessee, Mississippi and Louisiana.|
I spend every free moment working on my genealogy and documenting cemeteries. For me it is not just a hobby, but a passion. While traveling on business, I always take the opportunity to locate the nearest cemeteries.
I am not picky about transferring non-family member's memorials. Just contact me and we will see if we can work something out. If you see a memorial that needs correction, feel free to contact me and give me the details, but please remember to BE NICE. If I have taken a photo of one of your ancestors headstones, feel free to use it. That is why I do what I do. You don't have to ask either, I believe that by freely sharing we all benefit.
For those that have photo requests, remember to say thank you to the contributor that fulfills that request. We spend our time and gas going to cemeteries that are not always near. It is always so nice to hear from people that find a loved one that I have been able to create a memorial for.
I live in Northern New Jersey, and in the winter months, I won't be able to go to the cemeteries due to weather but will make every effort once spring and time allows.

Okay, good deal

I have used that resource yes. This is how I traced them from Wisconsin back to New Jersey. I'm not too interested in land records, but possibly an obituary if there is such a thing in a local newspaper of the time or even if you could tell me a newspaper or two that may have had it I could order it here and look myself. Thank you for your reply. - Dan

I am the grand-nephew of one of your memorials - Emma Little Scaff (72897227). Would you mind linking her to her parents?

Thanks so much!
|Barbara Hunter-Holmes||Jacob J. Banta # 93321318|
In researching this family I noticed there are a few duplicates you've created in regards to the Banta family & Oak Ridge Cemetery.
This one in particular is a dupe of Karen's memorial page for Jacob # 11058276.
If there is anything I can do to help just let me know.
Thanks so much,
Because you are in New Jersey I was wondering if you know of where I can possibly find more specific information on Charles Hoyt and his wife Eunice. They both came to Pierce County very early for this area (1853) and laid out a village still in existence Diamond Bluff. If you have information on how to easily get an obituary for either of them or more exact death dates I'd really appreciate it. We are now working on a book on the villages here and it would be interesting on how he got back east (he's in Illinois in 1870 then New Jersey in the 1880 Census. Thank you - Dan Geister Pierce County Historical Association, Wisconsin

Do you have any idea which section of the cemetery your loved one rests?
|Bob McCain||James McCain|
I would be honored if you would transfer the memorial of James McCain to me (70841137). I am his direct descendant. He is actually my sixth great-grandfather. Thank you for your kind consideration.

I have a picture of his headstone that was taken September 10, 1989 in which you can read the whole inscription. Would you like me to add it to his memorial page?
|Linda Lyons||Ann Eliza Mundy|
Would you be kind enough to transfer my great-grandmother Ann Eliza Sebring Mundy to me? Linda Lyons 47510021
