I was born and raised in Kansas. I moved to NW Houston in 1986. I am a mom of two History teachers that I could not be more proud of.|
I find cemeteries comforting and peaceful. Therefore it is only fitting that I take pictures while I am in one. I want future generations to be able to easily find information on their relatives. The internet is a wonderful tool to use in this way.
I volunteer my time as a National Memorial Lady at Houston National Cemetery. We are a group of 35 ladies who attend each and every Veterans service that is held there. I also am a Senior Ride Captain for the Patriot Guard Riders who escort our military safely to their final resting place. I have a special gratitude for our military men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice as well as all who served the USA proudly.
If you are requesting a transfer for a particular memorial, please let me know what relation that you are to the deceased. I will make consideration at that point. If you want to use any of my grave stone pics, feel free to....no need to ask.
America....Home of the Free because of the BRAVE.

I was wondering if Elizabeth Green is not
Elizabeth Lucille Jordan Geren and her spouse
Jerry Louis Geren both interned in Houston
National Cemetery ? Your memorial # 128981670
is dated May 01, 2014 and her service took
place may 2, 2014. I work the Fort Smith
National Cemetery and they have a directory
that you put in the last name and ask for
location, it spits out the name and a map with
the location. Would you check to see who is
interned in Plot: C-9, Row A, Site 45 ?
Check memorial # 126317056 & # 71814408
They do not have a Plot location. I will ask
for a Photo for Elizabeth's grave as there is
one already for Jerry. Thanks for all the
good work that your group does in Houston as
steady volunteers are hard to come by.
Sorry for the wordy message. Joseph
