I started my family search in about 2003 and registered with Find A Grave in March 2006. I started with 45 names and now have 9118 in my Family Tree Maker file. I live in the West Central part of Texas and am retired. My ancestors are first found in the USA in North Carolina & Virginia in the 1700's and came from the Britsh Isles. My Ferguson side moved from Jones Co., Mississippi to Hill Co., Texas in the 1870's and the Haynes' moved from Breckinridge Co., Kentucky to Williamson Co., Texas in 1885. I have traveled over West, Central & East Texas, Arkansas, Tennessee and Kentucky in search of graves & records. My lineage also includes the Land, Perrin, P'Pool and Outhouse clans. I enjoy the hunt and providing records and pictures to other researchers. | |

 | James/ Alice Gilreath Thank you dear Graver for the plots on James and Alice Gilreath. This couple is my daughter's great-great-grandparents. If we ever get to Jones County, we will be able to visit James' great memorial. | | | Werner van Osch

 | RE: picture Greenhaw, Carl Leonard Dear Don, Thank you for your permission. Is there a possibility that I can get in touch with his son? That would be great! Kind regards, Werner webmaster@7tharmoredmemorial.nl | | | Werner van Osch
 | picture Greenhaw, Carl Leonard Hello Don,
I am from the Netherlands and making a memorial site regarding the men of the 7th U.S. Armored Division who died during the liberation of my country back in autumn 1944. One part of the site will be a roll of honor. I am planning to launch this site on Memorial Day 2013.
Now I found on the internet Find a Grave a photo taken by you concerning the grave of the soldier mentioned in the subject line.
I would like to get your permission for putting this picture on my site. Of course stating it is taken by you. I would also be grateful if you had any further information about the person regarding the photo, or perhaps even more photo's and would like to share it with me.
Of course it will be a non commercial site. Thanks in advance! Regards,
Werner van Osch

 | Rogers #101220768 I tried to blow the picture up but I still couldn't read it, you are probably right. I did go back to the cemetery yesterday on my way to Sherman and to look at it again in real time so to speak and I couldn't read it at all but maybe if I were not so old and could still get down and back up I could have read it better....I am going to get one of my grandsons to go with me and get him to re-read it and see if he can make it out or I will try to get in touch with the person with the cemetery records to see if she can help...thank you for your information and reminding me that I needed to go back and check on it.... Thanks again and happy hunting, Barbara | | | Mary Nelson
 | Perrin Pool families I just read your bio and see that we also share some other family names. My husband and I went to the Perrin Pool cemetery near Hardinsburg and got photo's of all the stones. Just Perrins and Pools are buried there.
My 3rd great grandmother was Martha Perrin who married Stephen Richard Hall. I know they were in Breckinridge Co. but there doesn't seem to be a stone for them. It's through Martha Perrin that I am related to Lyndon Johnson. 6th cousin!! Several of her family migrated to Texas.
I have a friend here in West Lafayette whose name is Louise Outhouse. Her husband was Jim and he and my husband were in th same department at Purdue.

 | RE: Dudley B Haynes 1786-1865 Hi Don:
Major John Hardin-5th great grandfather. He married Catherine Marr. Jesse Hardin - 4th great grandfather. He married Margaret Huston. Daniel Hardin - 3rd great grandfather. He married Alice Jolly. I've been told that William (Indian Bill) Hardin raised Daniel and his sister. Maybe her name was Polly. Thursia Hardin, my 2nd great grandmother was a sister to Polly Ann who married Dudley Haynes.
My husband started working on all this 20 years ago. He's been gone for 10 years now and would love Ancestry and Find A grave.
I live in Indiana, so I get to Ky at least once a year. I've been to Freedom Cumberland just once. Some of my Hall family is buried there. My great grandmother on my dad's side of the family was Elizabeth Haynes who married Ance Graham. Her father was Edmund Haynes. They came from Stewartsville, VA.
Sorry to ramble!!
