I live in Birmingham, AL and a Driver Manager for at longhaul truckload carrier by profession. Genealogy is definitely a sickness, but a sure cure with no medications, to relieve the stress. |
My main interest lies in all aspects of the War Between the States and the era that proceeded it. I spend most of my free time researching long lost and sometimes forgotten ancestors, both lineal and collateral.
Surnames to included but not limited to: Benefield, Gay, Langley, Poore, Harris, Hill, Cooper, Weaver, McElroy/McKleroy, Brewer, Nix, Gore, Brakefield.

|Sandra Ott||Sarah Caroline Punam/Putman|
Memorial number 53295456 and her husband Simeon Howard Putnam/Putman,53295608.
Do you have specific information about them being buried in Thornhill Cemetery? Also, most of the records I can find, including death certificates, indicates the name was spelled Putman. Do you have any information about the alternate spelling? They are my 3rd great grandparents. Thanks for any information you can provide.
FYI, Sarah's maiden name was Teague.

I have updated Roberts memorial with the most recent info I have. It might be enough to start your search in the right direction. I'll let you know if I find any more info.

Related? very distant. Robert married on 16 Jul 1923 in Birmingham to Minnie Maude Blake, she was the d/o Edward Franklin Blake of Rock Hill SC & Ella Billips of Pickens Co. AL, who was the d/o John Edward Billups of Aliceville AL & Sarah Ann 'Sally' Summerville the d/o Andrew H. Summerville & Mary Ann Williams of Kershaw Co. SC. All the Summervilles came from Thomas Summerville of Belfast Ireland and his wife Elizabeth, who was from Virginia.
I am a Summerville from the Haralson/Carroll Co. GA. Summerville/Davis clans. How can I help you?

I would like a transfer to me of my uncle, Jim David Kittrell, and his family to me. He was one of my favorite uncles (older brother to my late father, Benjamin Franklin Kittrell). Would you be so kind to transfer his memorial to me?
Thank you for your consideration of my request and a kind response.

|Patricia Thompson Richetto||Wife of Sion Meter Tidwell|
Hi, Alabama UDC,
I see you created the memorial for Scion Meter Tidwell here. I am looking for information on Sion or Scion Meter Tidwell's wife, Lucindy Elizabeth Jane Ramsey. She is on the 1880 and 1900 US Census record with Sion and their children; but, I do not find her grave or her and her parents on Census records in the North AL area. Her birth place is indicated as Mississippi or AL and her parents are reported as Mississippi and North Carolina and AL depending on the Census record. Any information you have on Lucindy Elizabeth Jane Ramsey would be appreciated. Thanks,

It'd be great! Jackie and I are pinkering around with it (again) and on ancestry.com working on putting together "the tree." We are looking to have a sit-down and see what we know and where there are gaps. We just haven't done it yet.
In the meanwhile... We started trying to fulfill some of the photograph requests on this page. We just started doing this... but its neat trying to help the people looking.
Just wanted to send a follow up to see if you got my transfer request for my husband's grandparents?

I have posted all photos I took at Grren Pond. Do you know if Albert Levi has a standing stone? If you do, I'll go back and look again. Sometimes I can miss one when the cemetery is large and not laid out in a logical pattern. Let me know.
