Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hello! I have fallen in love with genealogy over the past several years. I am researching my George family roots in Eastern Pennsylvania. The history I have learned as a result of the time spent searching for my Families roots, has made this hobby a passion for me. I would like everyone to know that should you like any help researching in the Greater Lehigh Valley area you need only ask and I will be glad to help. Here is hoping that our joint interest in genealogy will make friends and an extended family of us all.

A person with no sense of the past is a person who is a stranger both to his or her own roots and to the human condition more generally. For human beings are not creatures of nature; we are inheritors of the history that has made us what we are. Not to know our history is not to know ourselves, and that is the condition not of human beings, but of animals. And even from a practical point of view, to be ignorant of the past is to make us impotent and unprepared before the present. --Anthony O'Hear

I just found this amusing:
An elderly woman died last month. Having never married , she requested no male pallbearers. In her handwritten instructions for her memorial service, she wrote, 'They wouldn't take me out while I was alive, I don't want them to take me out when I'm dead.'

RE: Katie George
Sorry, I never new how to check my messages on here. Regarding Malinda George I am no relation to the family. I found her picture in an antique shop and since it had her name on it I purchased it. I try to match up old pictures I find.

Kemmerer Book
Also - the Kemmerer Family Association (incorporated in 1902) published a book called; Two Centuries of Kemmerer Family History 1730-1929. Perhaps you can find out more if you can look at a copy in your local genealogy library.

RE: Surname Kemmerer
Hi Randy- I don't have those names in my tree. My Kemmerers are descendants of Jacob Kemmerer and Eva Elizabeth Schleppi. They lived in Hamilton, PA. Hope you are able to find your relatives! Mary
