RE: Visit to Gehrton Cemetery
Got your spreadsheet. I'll look it over and reply to it. Thanks

RE: Visit to Gehrton Cemetery
Looks like I've found 22 additional names to add to the Gehrton Cemetery list. That's assuming the list of 55 names is the correct number so far. I see that a spreadsheet submittal is limited to 25 names or more. Is that a hard and fast rule? There is an additional headstone that I have photographed that looks like the family name is Deichman with a dod of Oct 28, 1888. Is this a name you have come across before or have a more legible photo of the same headstone? Rgds.

RE: Gerhton Cemetery Photos
Thank you for your reply.

You are correct. Capt. Joseph C. Gehr is my wife's 4th great grandfather. My wife's line from Capt Joseph C. Gehr goes through Jacob Gehr 1762-1847, John Gehr 1787 - 1853, Fidelia Gehr 1838 - ? (Married to George John Stadter Abt 1830 - 1880), Nora Stadter 1880 - 1943. Nora Stadter is my wife's grandmother on her dad's side.

Do you have any photos of Capt. Joseph Gehr's tombstone? I don't have any info on where he was buried. I have a copy of his obituary but other than saying died in Crawford there is no mention of burial.

Oddly enough I cannot find a dod for Fidelia Gehr Stadter or place of burial. Her husband George Stadter has six plots in Linesville Cemetery section W row 5 graves 23 - 28. Plots 23 & 24 are taken by their sons George Ludwig and Fredrick D. Stadter and there is a sunken grave in 25. Since George John Stadter died in 1880, maybe this is his grave??? The other three graves are vacant.

Any clues you have in this line of ancestors will be greatly received. If you have tombstone photos it will l likely make my trip to Gehrton Cemetery unnecessary although it is only a couple hours drive away.

Thank you again for your reply. Looking forward to hearing from you.
