I have been doing family research since 1984. |
I lived in Hampshire Co., West Virginia and tried to photograph and inventory 300 plus cemeteries in the county.
Now I'm retired, teaching a class on genealogy in the Gulf Breeze area.
Anyone having a memorial for a McGahuey or McGaughey and wish to transfer it my way I would greatly appreciate it.
I'm working on the Mount Zion Historical Cemetery in Pensacola. A very over grown cemetery, many unmarked graves, but I will get photos taken as quick as possible.
Completed: Photo/update the Rose Lawn Cemetery in Gulf Breeze, Florida (Dec 2011). I will do an update in Jan 2014 of the 2013 burials.
NOTE: I will transfer every memorial request unless it is a direct ancestor, descendant, or immediate family member.

Hi Robert, Louis's obituary has been posted and
thank you. Richard.
|Phil & Kathi||Francis "Stockstill"|
You have a request for a Francis Stockstill in Miriam Cemetery, Harrison County, Missouri.
Is that Francis Paul Turpin? I have a photo for HIM, but NOTHING under the name Stockstill.
I can put it on his memorial if you want to submit a change request to whoever is managing the memorial.

You're very welcome!!! We have photographed the entire cemetery, so let us know if we can help!
I say "the entire cemetery", but it seems we usually miss a couple and some are just too worn to read or are completely gone.
|Donald Ward||Charles Edwin Watkins|
Robert, I just added a copy of Charles Watkins' death certificate to his memorial. That action automatically closes your photo request. I was tried to find a photo in Teafor2.com on the internet. When I could not find an existing photo for somebody buried in 1967, I was suspicious. The death certificate indicates that Charles was buried in Parkdale Cemetery rather than Arlington Cemetery. The two cemeteries are side-by-side and it can be hard to tell where one ends and the other starts. However, the death certificate says Parkdale and there's no reason to doubt the document. You may want to update Charles' memorial and post a new photo request.

Buried with Joan and by nancy. Both of which I opened up but can transfer to you.
Not a very good photo, if you would like a new one let me know.
|Jeremy Brooks||THANK YOU!!!|
I lost my Father at the age of 1. I later lost my Grandparents during the early 2000s and because of you I was able to locate and maintain their Graves. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. My Fathers Grave was before me (Anthony J. Brooks Pensacola,FL Holy Cross Cemetery) and my Grandfather's grave (Rufus James Miller Pensacola, FL Barrancas National Cemetery)was on a military base and very hard to find.
Thank You, Thank You, Thank You ...

You're very welcome :) I have come across several McGahey's in various cemeteries around the Galesburg area...I would be more than happy to photograph them for you in my future travels and see what we can match up :) Are there any in particular that you can think of, and which cemeteries they're in? It always helps to have a starting point!

My dad passed away before he could get their marker. They're to the left of my uncle Robert Byrkett. Are you related to my great uncle Webb? Great aunt Gange (Nellie) was my grandma Byrkett's sister. Gange n Webb were awesome. I remember spending all my summers with them. I don't know much about Webb's side of the family. I also see that you live in Gulf Breeze. I live in Baker.

Hi- Not sure what happened but I sent a SAC for Laura Land 81746572. Her maiden name is Rogers. I asked that you link her husband, Joel, and her parents Matthew Rogers 10413375 and Emma Rogers 10413383. I'm forwarding my copy of the SAC. Thank-you. Linda
