Bio and Links
Bio Photo Contrary to whatever you may have heard, I am not an ogress but I am passionate about genealogy, researching and cemetery transcription.

I love the human history that lies in our graveyards and I believe burial records should be accessible to all without charge. As hard as I have tried to be accurate, mistakes are there because I am not perfect. Please keep corrections concise and the point. All edits will be processed as they are. My life is too hectic to run down information so please don't assume I am the one who erred. If you do make a mistake, email me asap and I will do what I can to correct it.

All transfer requests should be within the four generation guideline. Please state your relationship, those without this information will be deleted. A correction can be sent regardless of whether you are a member of find a grave or not.
Please do not download any photograph of mine for use elswhere on the web without asking permission, in particular Ancestry. Since it's acquisition of Find a Grave a link back is provided so this is totally uncalled for.

If there is already a marker photo on a memorial I manage, please follow the guidelines and refrain from adding another similar shot unless it is dramatically better. It is disrespectful to the volunteer who proceeded you. In my ignorance I have done this and would gladly delete any that are brought to my attention.

Oakwood Cemetery in Montgomery, Alabama is the city cemetery. It is old and in Scott's Free Ground, which was parcel of land given by Andrew Dexter and John Scott, markers have succumbed to the march of time making them difficult to read.

Saint Margaret's is the Catholic Cemetery, Land of Peace and Eternal Rest are the Jewish Cemeteries and of course Oakwood Annex also known as Hank Williams Memorial Cemetery. While the Jewish and Catholic cemeteries are located in Oakwood and Oakwood Annex adjoins it, they are five legally separate cemeteries oftentimes lumped under Oakwood.

Last but not least, please.. go out and transcribe at least one cemetery!
