Bio Photo I really do not mind people asking for the use of photos but I truly put a lot of work into these and it is just nice to be asked permission to use them and to get credit for them. Sorry if this sounds rude but I think it is only fair.

Any chance you could add the entire transcription of his cemetery stone? I'm looking for his age. Many thanks in advance!

John Jarrett

MY husband's great-grandfather is John Jarrett and he was married to Helena. She is buried in Clarence Center Cemetery and there is a grave next to her that has a headstone for John. There is also in the same cemetery another headstone for John Jarrett that looks older and is hard to read for John E. Jarrett.. His gr-grandfather's middle initial is E. and I'm wondering if both of these are for the same man... You had taken both pictures. Both seem memorials have the same death date of 1916 is when his gr-grandfather died. Could there be 2 headstones in different sections of the cemetery for the same man?I'll let you know if I find an answer to this from the cemetery.

Lavern Quaintance
Hi Mark,

Thank you for all the work you do. It is much appreciated. I do have a question concerning the information for Lavern Quaintance found in Ivory Cemetery, Charutauqua County, New York, USA, Plot: Lot 66. Was the birth and death information taken from the tombstone or from other sources. I question whether this information could be correct. George Washington Quaintance and Charlotte Terry were not married until January 1, 1867. Their first child after this marriage was Deforest L. Quaintance. There are some genealogies showing the middle name as Lavern. Deforest was born on January 29, 1867 according to Genealogy of the Quaintance Family in Ohio and other states by Alfred M. Quaintance found on page 89, O-344. Deforest's death date is recorded as January 24, 1877, the same as the death date for Laverne. It seems these two people must be one and the same. Could there have been an error in reading the record? Could the birth date have actually been Oct. 29, 1867 instead of 1862? The birth date in the Quaintance Genealogy looks wrong.
