I have always been intersted in my family history. Most people think I'm crazy, if I see a cemetery I want to stop and take pictures. I have had people say, you don't even know anybody in there. My responds. but somebody does, and they might be looking for them. If you think I might be crazy for spening my days off in a cemetery, you should be there, when I am talking to the people there. lol I flip back and forth from findagrave & ancestry. |
The family names I am most interested in are
Hunting down Hellweg & all variants of the spelling. -primarily found in Missouri, Illinois, and Germany..
Rich & Riggs in Central Illinois
Ramsey, & Priest in Missouri & Tennessee
Dorsey & Parrish in Texas.
If I have entered a duplicate memorial of one of yours or mine or if you have any additional info or corrections let me know. Please add Find A Grave in the subject line. This will not offend me.
Thanks to everyone that added pictures, flowers and additional info to the memorials. It is a blessing to see what we can do when we work together.

Hello, I added Brittany's middle name as you suggested. I would also like to thank you for taking a photo of her grave and uploading it to her memorial. Your kindness is appreciated.

Hello, I'm sorry if this is not the proper way to handle this but I'm trying to contact all Find A Grave volunteers who have added memorials using Cedar Park Memorial as the cemetery. It should actually be Cedar Memorial Park. I'm not sure how or when the incorrect one was created but someone obviously transposed the words Park and Memorial around and created a cemetery that is not correct.
Again, I'm sorry if this is not the correct way to handle this.

I am trying to find information on Alexander Priest, my great grandfather, born in 1891 in Tennessee. I just found your link from Find a grave and hope that you have more information. I can't find any type of death certificate or history before 1900. I can share what I have and maybe it will help with your research too. Thank you for what you have done so far.
|Michael Fromholt||Hellwig family|
Do you have any more information on your listing of Werner Hellwig? His parents were Max Hellwig and Louise Luedecke.

Hi Terry, I am trying to locate my notes taken that day, many of these rural cemeteries tend to take me on roads that have no names and I rely on the neighbors living nearby to help me locate them. As soon as I find the envelope with the CD of my images, will send you the information. I remember talking extensively with the owner of the farm next door to this property where the Gentry Cemetery is located, he allowed me to walk through his fields in order to get to this fenced in site. Warmly, Helen

Hi, I noticed you put in a request to change the date of birth for Ora Lee May Hickerson and added photo of her gravesite.
I saw that she was preceded in death by her husband who shares a head stone. I wanted to see if you wanted to add an entry to Dickson County Memorial Gardens for him and add your photo or if you would like to add him. I am find either way. Just wanted to link him to his wife, 16704953, Ora Lee May Hickerson.

Would you transfer this one to me?
I have lots of information on this and some other unlisted graves in this cemetery and they connect to this one.
|GSchreiber||Gottlieb Heinrich Helweg - Find a grave|
Would you mind transferring ownership of this site to me? Gottlieb Heinrich Helweg was my great grandfather on my dad's side.
