Bio Photo My wife & I have been photographing cemeteries for several years now. We started just as a way to help document our family research, but with digital cameras and memory being so cheap, we thought we might as well take as many photos as we could since we were out there anyway and not everyone can make the trip to visit the graves of their loved ones.

RE: Grandmother, Emma Presley, Wilson
Oh, Jason, thank you for your information that you were so kind to send about my grandmother Emma Presley Wilson. Too bad we still don't know about her death; perhaps never will. My granddaddy used to say, "she was too young to have died." It was always a void for my mother, Clarice. Loved seeing the photo; however. My granddaddy had a large photo in a frame that resembled this photo and before he passed, he gave it to my mother. My brother now has it and had it cleaned, etc., and Emma's sewing machine that my mother always had, sits below her picture. Emma made my mother's baby clothes on it and my mother always loved using it - still works as far as I know.

Jason, does Emma have a marker of any kind? My nephew has walked the cemetery and has not come across her grave as of yet. I live in Texas and don't get to Tenn. too often.

Loved the info and hearing from you.

Grandmother, Emma Presley, Wilson
Hello Jason -
My mother, Clarice Wilson, Burns is the daughter of Emma Wilson that was married to John B. Wilson. Emma passed away when my mother was 6 years old. Emma had a son, Fred Wilson, I believe 2 years younger than my mother. My mother always wondered what her mother died of, as no one ever told her. My mother passed away in Dyersburg, Tenn., but always had the longing through the years to see her mother. Now, she has with her passing. How are you related to Emma?
Thank you.

THANK YOU
Thank you so very much, Jason! I truly appreciate your prompt transfer. I will never understand those who refuse to transfer memorials to family members. God bless you and I want to say that if not for people like you, many people would not even know where their loved ones are buried. Keep up the great work!

LEONARD SCOTT
Hello Jason,

Would you be so kind as to transfer the memorial on Sgt. Leonard Scott to me? Thank you so much. His number is 12387553, at Stateline Cemetery in Plevna. He is my first cousin; his mother is a Bostick buried there as well (Elaine Scott). I am trying to maintain all my family at Stateline/Bostick Cemetery. Thank you!

Maple Hill Cemetery
Hi Jason - You had photographed a grave for memorial 8331843. I was wondering if you knew who had the cemetery records for Maple Hill Cemetery in Huntsville, AL. I am trying to find out more about our Ancestors Nathan Neighbors and his wife Mary and daughter who are referenced on that tombstone. I have the obit but is says nothing.

Thanks

Naomi

RE: Deming Cemetery!
The cemetery is off of Cyprus Tank Road. I will try to get the GPS coordinates as soon as possible.

Capt Richard Harris
June 10, 2014.......
An article in The Huntsville Times from April 28, 1953 indicates that Captain Harris is buried in the Harris family cemetery in the Lakewood area of Huntsville. Just would like to confirm that to be true. I have recently visited the Harris Hill Cemetery, east of Huntsville on Highway 72, and I did not find evidence that Richard Harris is buried there.

Sincerely,

Jim Garrett

Thomas McBride
His memorial 105752884 shows
his birth as March 1899
The 1900 Census shows a Tomie McBride
son of William C. and Lucy with March 1899
as his birth. I believe this is the answer
you were looking for.

Margaret Adams/Jane Pankey connection

Hi. Thanks for all you do. We're insanely lucky to have you help us!

My ggg-grandmother, Margaret Pankey married James Jackson Adams. She's buried in West Union (see above). She's the daughter of Susan Jane Kemp who is buried in Mount Oval (both of these are White Co., Illinois). They aren't connected. I emailed the person who is tagged for Susan Jane Kemp (http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=43411328), and I'm emailing you, and hoping we can connect the mother/daughter, even if they aren't buried at the same place?
FYI, Margaret born 3 Feb 1850, Smith, TN, to Creed Haskins Pankey and Susan Jane Kemp. Creed is also in Mt. Oval.

Thanks!

RE: Emanuel B Ritsch Newman vs Maple Ridge
True - the obit is not the last word. I actually found headstones for the same very people in two different cemeteries (Phillipstown and Oak Grove), so possibly relatives did that for some reason from time to time.
