I was born in February of 1948 in Shelbina MO, as was my father before me. I grew up in Pittsfield IL [1949-1957], Danville IN [1957-58], and back to Pittsfield [1959-1962] during elementary school years. I graduated high school in Tuscola IL [1962-1966]. Dad was a Teamster, and his job had us hopping around!
I'm happily married [40 years] with 6 children [2 still at home], 9 grandchildren, and one on the way. I retired on disability from the Champaign County Correctional Center in Champaign IL.
Jesus Christ is my Lord and my reason to live. He has forgiven my sins and rescued me from a life gone bad.
I want to honor my forebears with these memorials. Patriarch: Richards, Edward [1678-1755] of Manchester, Lancashire England and later Hampstead, Maryland. On my mother's side: Long family of Frederick County VA, and the Heathman family.
I welcome any and all communication with "cousins" and fellow descendants.
Anyone's corrections, additions, or suggestions are also welcome. My goal is accuracy and completeness. | |

 | RE: Susanna Beatty Thanks for the transfer offer, but I've yet to learn all the in's and out's of this site. I can search and send information but that's about as far as I've gotten. If I ever learn, I'll let you know. | | | Lyn Smith
 | Susanna Asfordby Beatty Memorial# 95179843 Your Find a Grave posting came up as a hint on my tree, so being as Susanna Asfordby was my 7th great grandmother, I thought I'd let you know who her parents were. I've done extensive research into my family and my membership with ancestry.com (since just a few years ago) has helped me a lot. With the help of fellow researchers and this computer age, I've learned all kinds of ways to look into my lineage. Anyway, Susanna was third and first surviving child of William Asfordby 1638-1698 and Martha Burton 1634-1711, both of Lincolnshire, England. They were married in England and arrived in Ulster County, New York about 1674. I have yet to locate any Asfordby's buried in Ulster County. Susanna had five siblings that I know of. Two died in infancy, two in late twenties and one lived to be 63 years old. Susanna's marriage license was issued 7 November, 1691. She was joint heir of her husband. As you are aware she died in Frederick County, Maryland, where her will, made 20 June, 1742, was proved 30 October, 1745. She married John Beatty of Kingston and Marbletown, Ulster County, New York, who was returned for Sheriff of Ulster County, was Trustee of Marbletown, and Deputy Surveyor of the Province of New York. His will, made 26 April, 1720, was proved 9 March, 1721. She and John Beatty had ten children. Lyn Smallwood Smith | | | Jennifer Styskal Faust
