Your tombstone stands among the rest; Neglected and alone. The name and date are chiseled out On polished, marbled stone.

It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.

Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.

Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years age
spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.

I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.

I found this and fell in love with it but, do not know who wrote it.

Hope that you enjoy reading it.

RE: The family of Nancy Pate West, Wayne County, MS.
Hi Virginia, I have no idea where John and Anna would be buried. I would start at the Waynesboro Library. They have a Genealogical Society there. If Anna died in Wayne County, Arrington Cemetery may be a good possibility being that she has a daughter in that cemetery. Their is no marker for her but there are a lot of unmarked graves. No one kept records on that cemetery Also keep in mind that Wayne County is on the Alabama line, so you may need to check the Washington County, Alabama area. I wish you the best in your search.

James Wise
Came across your note on Findagrave about a marker for James Wise, Memorial #44131525 and family.

I research the Wise Family and wanted to ask. Is his wife Purmilla Miller 1794 - 1869, and is she buried with him? I know some of their children, and could you fill in some blanks I have?

I have a web page, that I maintain. All the files are for family only, and will never be released to the public. If you wish to take a look at what I have, request to join?

Mom to angels Bo and Chris
RE: Ida Windham
That would be awesome! You could post it as a flower to her memorial, or you could email it to me and I would post it on her memorial... I would be happy to do it either way. I am 60 now, but those days don't seem that long ago, even though they sure were.
Thank you again for your thoughtfulness!

A Footstep In Time
RE: Huggins Family
Hi Ms Virginia
Sorry I took so long to reply. Been busy with grandchildren and an elderly father in law with dementia.
I changed my user name. I got tired of the negative feed back from the do gooders trying to make all memorials fit their standards, so I removed my name. I had someone find my phone number.
To answer you question, I am related distantly to the Huggins family, mostly through marriage I think.
Hope everything in your world is going good. Have a blessed weekend.

RE: Poage, Bistineau Cemetery, Heflin, Louisiana
Was there a copy of Alfred C Poage's death certificate? curious about causes of death in our family. We've found a number of family members with same health issues. Please don't go to any trouble...just in case you noticed that.

RE: Wall & Hand, Bistineau Cemetery, Heflin, LA.
Hi Virginia, I had lost you for a bit and was driving me crazy as to where to find your message.
I was wondering if you would look up part of the connecting Poage family that is buried there also. Alfred Clark Poage/Poague/Pogue. Spelling is however anyone wants to spell I have found. He is a Jr. but don't think it is used after he left Alabama. His wife Ditha Joanne Wynn Poage. I am very curious if there was an obit for either of them. Strange that he was the last of several sons before his father, Alfred Clark Poage, named him a JUNIOR.

Coming off I-20 to Helfin....what is the easiest way to find the cemetery? Wed. I am going to try coming by on way to Alabama. Probably be around 10-11:00 before getting there.
Thank you so very much for your devoted and generous help.
