Bio Photo Hello
My name is Dave and I've been a member of find a grave for many years. I started out searching for family and old civil war solders and got hooked. If I was to give any advice to anyone starting out it would be, Stick to the facts and don't assume anything, Also if you are taking a picture of a tombstone please do your best and take the time to wipe it off and make it as legible as you can without risking damage to the stone, A damp rag or a small whisk broom works fine. I have seen many photo volunteers take pictures of stones covered with dirt / mowed grass or other debris, Remember these pictures aren't just pictures to loved ones they are treasures. Good Luck

Rock Chapel Historic Cemetery Lithonia DeKalb County Georgia USA
Hi there.
I was over at this cemetery doing a photo request and saw a marker for Annie Ruth Alford in the "George" family plot. I have not checked further into this person, but thought that you might like to know.
Best regards and Happy Researching, Bud
PS. As with any Georgia memorials I will be happy to transfer them to family or friend or anyone doing research on that name. BB

Thank you very much for Minnie's middle name. Her memorial needed that to be complete.

Thanks much for the links to Minnie's parents. It was a privilege for me to be able to write a biography for her. I too spent my early life in Durant and have since traveled far and wide. Let me know please if you happen to know Minnie's middle name. Thanks again.

RE: John T. Alford & Lucy Smith
Glad to be able to do it. That cemetery is really overgrown now. I put some photos and map on, but the photos haven't been approved by the Find A Grave committee yet.
Happy Researching, Bud
