I have been working on my family history for over 20 years. I enjoy walking through cemeteries and reading the headstone inscriptions. They tell a story.|
It's sad to see so many headstones that can't be read. Hopefully, photographing as many headstones as possible will "save" some of them.

RE: Laban Buoy
Since you put them both in, you have the ability to combine the information, including photos to one of the entries. Just combine the best info you have into one and then delete the other.

I think that would be fine. I got that info from several sources - and among them was his obit, and that's how it was written. But obits weren't always real accurate, so I guess what you found is probably more correct. Thanks for asking.

I went to the Mausoleum. It is locked, as would be expected. However, I managed to read all but one of the names through the door and window, and there is an urn inside with no information visible on it. I saw no Moses, but I did find a headstone in the family plot behind the mausoleum for a Moe Lowenstine who died in 1926. I can go back again and see if I can read that last name in the mausoleum if you're sure that Moe and Moses aren't the same person.
I didn't want to report a problem with the request until I was sure.

Thanks you very much for pointing out that I put the wrong memorial number. I immediately submitted a correction of my correction to 5 others.

Hi, I ran across some Armstrong Family photos today at a local antique store (Springfield, OR). I purchased one of Christopher Armstrong, and I took photos of some of the others. There are 3 photos of Vernita Armstrong (which I've uploaded to her memorial), one of her sister Anna, 2 of Mary, 1 of "Aunt MInty" (still not sure who that is), etc. If you would like an invite to my tree online to view the photos, just let me know. If you are interested in the originals I purchased, or the ones still in the store (and do not live locally to purchase them yourself), just let me know and I can arrange to mail them to you if you are willing to reimburse my costs (I do not charge any extra fees other than my exact costs!). :)Jessica
|Jen Snoots||RE: moving memorials to different cemetery|
Is there an easy way to move the memorials to the Beth El cemetery and KEEP the Memorial number?
Yep, there is!
On each memorial, you'll see an "edit" link above the cemetery name.
Select "Cemetery Burial".
Type Beth El in the box, in the pull down menus select Massachusetts, then Suffolk County.
Click "Search for the Cemetery"
Click where it says "Beth El Cemetery" & then "Save Changes"
And then they are in Beth El Cemetery. You won't lose any photos, bios, links etc.
Hope that helped!
