Located in Central Alberta, Canada, but my camera and I travel to many other places.|
I have photos for most all of the memorial pages that I have created BUT I have not uploaded them. So even in the middle of an Albertan winter with snow 2 feet deep I can still add photos to pages I have already created, simply let me know which memorial you are interested in and I will add a photo for you. Bearing in mind that FaG says it takes about 1 minute to upload a photo onto a page I probably will never get all the photos I have added to the correct pages. I do not receive emails letting me know that people have submitted a photo request close to my home , so PLEASE message me directly so that I may fulfill your request.
If you would like me to remove a memorial please let me know and I shall remove it right away - no questions asked.
Some of the cemeteries we have visited have markers written in languages other than English. I have photos but can not translate the inscriptions. If you think one of your loved ones might be in a cemetery where we have taken pictures but is not listed on Find A Grave, please contact me and I will try to help you.
Having Lyme Disease I need less stress in my life and need "gentle exercise" I find taking photos for Find A Grave gets me the fresh air, and the tranquility I need in the summer months and uploading the information exercises my mind in winter. If you need to know more about Lyme Disease check- www.canlyme.com
Because of the few RUDE people demanding I transfer pages to them, I shall no longer make transfers unless you are polite AND can show me that the pages you would like transfered to you are people closely related to you. The words Please and Thank You frequently cause miracles to occur and are much appreciated.
If you use the EDIT button at the top right of the memorial page to make your request then "Suggest a correction or provide additional information",I can be sure I have the correct person. Please include your Find A Grave number on your request. Should you find that I have made a mistake entering information or have inadvertantly duplicated an entry please let me know I will remedy the situation as soon as possible.

I have forgotten how early winter can come in Canada. Here we have had one or two flurries, but today it is sunny and 6°.
I will ask again in the Spring. The two memorials I mentioned, href="http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=121055342">Robert
Findlay and his wife Jane, have now been transferred to me, and I have added bios and links.
All the best.

I forgot to mention that memorials were added for Robert and Jane FINLAY from the Edmonton cemetery database just a couple of days ago on 1 Dec, but with little information, other than when and where they were buried. I have written the person who added these records to ask for a transfer or alternately to update the records for me.

I have finally tracked down Robert Findlay (a great grand uncle), father of David Noble Findlay of Jasper (who is also buried at Beechmount). Robert and his wife Jane are also buried there, but are indexed under the name Finlay (why I didn't try looking for them earlier I don't know):
Last Name First Name Burial Date Cemetery Section Block Plot
FINLAY ROBERT 09/28/1918 BEECHMOUNT 0021 0021
FINLAY JANE 11/08/1919 BEECHMOUNT 0021 0020
With a helpful tip from the Edmonton library I found a death notice for Robert which made sure he was the right person:
The Edmonton Bulletin, 28 Sep 1918, p.3
DEATH OF ROBT. FINDLAY
The death took place at Grande Prairie on Friday Morning of Robt. Findlay, a former resident of the city. He leaves to mourn a widow, two sons, one residing at Grande Prairie and one at Jasper, and a daughter, Mrs. Hardy, residing in Manitoba. The funeral will be held on Sunday afternoon from Andrews' undertaking parlors.
I would appre4ciate it very much if some time you might be visiting this cemetery if you could get a picture the gravestone.
Thanks in advance,

|Deb Evans||RE: Rose Varga|
Thank you for your reply!
She immigrated to Canada from Hungary around 1926 and eventually settled in Lethbridge, Alberta with her husband, James Varga. I believe she passed away shortly after 1929 and in Lethbridge but I am not positive about that. I have also learned her name is sometimes referred to as Rosa. She gave birth to my father in Lethbridge in 1928.

I am tracing my grandmother who immigrated to Canada and I would like to know if you are related to Rose Varga please? You might be able to help me. Thank you. I am looking forward to your reply.

Yes I guess we are used to small!!! And it feels big to us! I come from Switzerland so even England is big!

Thanks for that and very quick answer! I was impressed!
I saw lots of Golightly in that cemetery but now I see where the chapel is, they cannot be related (or unless very far back) as mine all seem to be from Whickham near Gateshead. I had hoped it may be a church's name which had not had a parish name. There are a few cemeteries which only have the church's name! Rather confusing!
See you then

I am not sure who has put in this cemetery and I wonder if it is one I need. Do you happen to know which parish it is in? I am not sure if you or Linda are the originator of this chapel.
Maybe it could have the coordinates County durham is a very large county! Thanks
Thanks Alison, you`re a sweetie! Great work as always!
