Bio and Links
Bio Photo Finding info on relatives or friends here can be very rewarding and give some closure, but from a genealogical point of view it's cool. It can give you more leads! Posting memorials here has helped me find many living relatives as well. Many of which I never knew about! If you think your related, or have other info you can leave a message for me so I can contact you.
If I need to fix an error or add info, click on the edit button in upper right corner of the memorial in question.

Just to clarify; Many of my memorials in Colorado cemeteries have Obits with "RMN" as the source. RMN stands for The Rocky Mountain News - now out of business.

I'm currently researching these family names:

Braddy, Brady, Renspie, Roenspie, Roenspies, Schenke, Krueger, Kruger, Peacock, Oehlke, Mason, Suddith, Suddeth, Jones, Worrell, Worrel, Harrison, Hutton, Swanson, Swansen, Thiele, Clawes, Ferrier, Danielsen, Rodgers, Rogers, Thiele, Hutton, Hampton, Holder, Hamacher, VonCannon, Benya, Brehm, Balzer.

Other very useful free research sites I use are;
My Heritage Family Tree Builder - where I have my tree.

Never take it for granted.

I'm proud to have served in the USMC! Thanks so much Fellow Vets and Active Duty Personel and your families!

Hi Scott,

Going through all my Block 12 folks (to get them posted on Find A Grave -- almost done with that part). Anyway, I saw your post for Anna Volkonsky and would like to ask -- where did you uncover this bit of information on her? I ask because I want to update my data sheet and website and to properly cite the source.

Thanks for you assistance....and all that you do.

Denver FAG photo's;Civil War
I am a Vermont Civil War buff, and am presently working on a project to identify the last resting places of many of our "Old Soldiers" that had any ties to Vt; birth, War service, credit, etc. I have noticed that you have contributed several photo's of monuments, markers to F.A.G Memorial pages of several of these patriots.I am asking you if I may use these photo's to post on the Vermont C.W. site? (

You, with much appreciation, would receive credit for this.
Thank you for your consideration.

Crocker Riverside Cemetery Grave Sites
My husband is Howard Freeman Crocker III and is very much alive, but his grave is listed. What happened is that record is for his father, Howard Freeman Crocker Jr, and other Crocker information is not accurate.

I'm requesting to manage the Crocker grave sites in Riverside so information can be corrected and added. My husband has done extensive Crocker research and would like this Pioneer family to be accurately represented in history.

Thank you for the work you have done on these sites. I'm a new member to Find A Grave and a retired librarian so realize the immense value of local history research. Maureen Crocker

James Gilreath/ Chattooga Ga.
Scott, what is your connection to James Gilreath? I am connected through Levi Patrick Gilreath's wife, Carie Tripp. My husbands great aunt. I came to love their daughter, Ruby Gilreath Walker, and her son! Ray Walker and his family. I am researching the Tripp, Thompson, Vines, families.

Joanna Funk Abele
Hello Scott,
I found your bio info for Joanna Funk Abele.
You have her as part of the Alois Funk m. Viktoria Waizmann family. I am the great-great granddaughter of John N. Funk who is a son of Alois and Viktoria Funk. I, too, have found baptismal records for John N.'s siblings and I have marriage records for both him and his brother Joseph who both died in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where I'm from. My problem with your post is that you have Joanna Funk Abele as part of this family and birth date March 1844. Alois and Viktoria didn't get married until 29 May 1844. Today having a child before marriage (or without marriage) is common and would not be suspect, but I am doubtful that Joanna is part of this family. What documentation do you have for her parents being my great-great-great grandparents? Thanks for your time. Marilyn Hogan Leap

Thank you so much for all your hard work. It means so much to all of us!!

We just visited my Kettle relatives grave site, and were able to find my Great Great Grandfather George Edward Kettle, and 2 of his children Bertie and Georgie. Supposedly,George Kettle's wife Barbara Ellen Goff Kettle is buried there, but we didn't see any markers.Does this ring a bell? Also, George Edward Kettle doesn't appear on this site. I have an old photo of the tombstones and took current pictures. Should I add them myself or send them to you?

Again, your work means so much!

RE: Ina and Hugh Ferrier
You're welcome! I'll check back periodically to see if I can get a better pic of their parents' side. Hopefully the landscapers will cut the bushes back at some point. Glad I could help. Warm Regards, Stacey

Schafer contact info
I was wondering if you had any contact with the Schafer family. It appears Rollie Schafer, Jr. did some genealogical work on my great-great-great grand parents Joseph B. Foster and Mary Ellen Nichols, entitled:

"Pioneers of the Colorado Front Range. The Masons, Fosters, Allens, and Hammontrees. A Family History"

I thought I had Rollie Jr. and his family tracked down to Denton, Tx but all the numbers are disconnected. If you are in contact with them or know of someone who is, I'd be happy to give you my information to pass to them.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
