We work as a team: Russian-Danish family living in London. After a few years in the Middle East, we have now moved to our next adventure in China. County-keepers for England. Being long-term expats, we are very interested in all Russians and Danes who found their last resting place away from their home countries. We will be grateful for any comments, advice and links to memorials. Thanks to this wonderful website we have found many friends all over the world and the amount of mails we receive increase all the time. We appreciate all the mails and ALWAYS reply but sometimes it takes longer than we would like to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!|
We prefer to get your questions and corrections through the EDIT tab in the memorial. Please include your own e-mail in case we need to write back to you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

|Susan M S||RE: Irina Holman|
I did have a look as there were many names that seemed Russian in the list of photo request but I didn't see any on my wanderings unfortunately.
I took an extra 150 ish photos randomly. Names that seemed familiar or simlpy nice gravestones.
They should eventually come through as I or someone else works through them.
The cemetery is local to me.

I went into the office and asked for plot reference and this is the answer I got. I didn't ask if they knew which funeral director. I could always phone in Monday to find out if they know?
But probably it doesn't say or the lady would have told me.
Sorry to disappoint you.

added one more pic of information, could you kindly re order the pics so it's last and his memorial stone is first? Would do if I could. Cousin. It is Find A Grave after all, I personally believe headstones etc should be first, info latter. What say you?

Do you by any chance have a directory for these cemeteries? I am trying to locate a woman who came from Russia to Harbin and died there in 1934. Last name is Goldstein. She moved there with her son and dil and after her death the immigrated to Tel Aviv then to the US. Any help would be appreciated

Thank you so much for that larger picture. Now I can see that his parents had that headstone put there for him and it is his grave only.
That clears up a lot of mystery. Thanks for your good work!
|Sheila Joynes||RE: James Ernest Kirkham Bell|
My apologies if I have got things wrong!I am fairly new to this site and was presuming that people ask other people to photograph graves for them.On the bottom of the photo of James's grave (#12366366) are the words "He is remembered on his parents' grave in Ladywell Cemetery, London, England.
Photo taken March 2011" and your contact details - that is why I contacted you to see if you knew anything else.
In fact I have proof that he was buried in Ladywell Cemetery, not just remembered there, so now I am trying to find out if he has any living relatives.
Did you photograph all the graves in Ladywell or was there a particular reason for this one? I can't read the inscription on the gravestone to know who else was buried there but I can't find any record of his parents, Robert and Clara, being buried in Ladywell.
I'm sorry if I'm taking up your time but I'm just looking for any scrap of information that might help me. Thank you!

Find a grave reference number 12366366
You photographed this grave in 2011. Do you have any idea who contacted you to ask for this information and whether you have a contact address for them?
I have been researching this young man and have enough evidence to apply for commonwealth grave headstone for him but, as he is not a direct relative, I would like to contact his family if there is one, to seek their opinion before I proceed.
The comment with the photo says he is buried in his parents' grave but I can't find evidence of his parents being buried in Ladywood Cemetery. A mystery!

No worries & thanks
|Scooter T||Edward Gibbon Wakefield|
Once again I follow you on your travels! This time in Wellington NZ. I have added a grave photo for Edward Gibbon Wakefield.
|Chris Wilson||Herbert Ernest Smith|
Hi Julia & Keld,
I am researching Herbert Ernest Smith and found the entry you made at Find-A-Grave and wondered if you had any further information on this man.
The reason for my research part of remembrance of all those who fell during the two word wars. Although he smith isn't on our village war memorial, he is named in local doccuments; it would appear that his absence may be connected with his deah through illness rather than active service.
Anyway, I'm trying to build up as much a picture as possible and would appreciate any help you may be able to give.
