Hello, your efforts are commendable, thank you for your efforts! I ask only one thing if I may. Could you let Ryan know also. ; ) (This was his request not mine) Thanks.

Hi M, you had sent me that info, which was included on the memorial. She is inscribed on the stone at West Plain so even if it is a cenotaph it is allowed. If she is actually buried at Yantic I saw no stone for her but you can create a memorial there if you know she is there stone or not.
The two memorials should be linked to each other though.
Thank you for filling my photo requests for Andrew C and Cynthia C Burnham, my great-great grandparents, and Bishop and Elizabeth Burnham. Terrific photos too, with excellent detail.
If you have an ancestors in Wisconsin ... let me know!
Thanks for the head's up.

|Diane Stadig Griffith||RE: Orrin Smith|
Thank you for your message. My son, grandsons, and a Connecticut relative visited Yantic Cemetery in 2012 and located Orrin's grave. At present I am trying to locate my pictures from the event.
I have info on the regiment Orrin belonged to, but have not been able to determine who his parents were. At 18 he was living with three women, I presume they were all related, but just how I was unable to determine. Can't get to the Smiths behind him. There are lots of Smiths in Yantic Cemetery, but I couldn't find out if any of them were directly related to Orrin. Orrin's son George Henry is buried in the Bozrah Cemetery, where his son, Alfred (my grandfather) his 1st & 2nd wife is and Howard & Bertha (Alfred's brother and sister-in-law. My cousin Dan (died of drowning in 1983) is there, as well as my step-father (Raymond Poirier), my mother (Alice Louisa Smith Stadig Poirier) will also be.
I would be glad to hear from you again.
Diane Gail Stadig Griffith
