Nancy Ray Abshier 28496829
Hello, I have an obituary for Nancy Ray Abshier. It's rather lengthy and contains quite a bit of info. It's in .jpeg form. I can send you a copy if you're interested in typing it for posting. Or with your permission, I will post the pic. ~Camillia

RE: Jessie Ruth Crow Buck
So - we're 4th cousins once removed! Hi! My mom's mom's maiden name was Buck so it's been an important family name my whole life. Nice to meet you! The Bucks are certainly an illustrious family!

RE: Walter Kosinski
Here is a link to the Walter I was referrng to on Find-A-Grave:

His Find-A-Grave memorial Number is 153357533

This is an odd situation. Vadik (aka Walter) was never married, never in the military and spent the last 15 or so years of his life committed to the State Hospital in North Warren PA. He died there. Vadik was born in 1920 and died in 1978 as did the 2nd Walter referenced in Find-A-Grave memorial Number is 153357533. The were both in Warren County. Vadik was burried in Mount of Olives Cemetery with his sister Hedwig (Harriet) and a nephew, Robert J. Sadowski. The other Walter was buried in St Joseph Cemetery along with his wife Dorothy in Warren PA.

I'm not certain that the photograph placed on Vadik's memorial was in fact Vadik or the 2nd Walter I am referencing. The last time I physically saw Vadik I was about 6 or 7 years old. I've always felt very sad for him as his Brothers and Sisters more or less decided he was too much of a burden to care for and had him committed.

Ha ha! That's funny. Now they're made! Thanks!

And I really love those portraits you posted of Jessie & Frank. Jessie was BEAUTIFUL!

So you and I are cousins, I guess, if you are related to Frank.

Ciao! - Janet

The Find a Grave Memorial # for the Walter I was referring to is: 153357533. The Walter I was related to was never married, never served in the military. Strangely enough, both were born in 1920 and both died in 1978 in the same county in PA.

RE: Jessie Ruth Crow Buck
Hi Jeff - I"m curious which changes were made. Her name hasn't been changed yet on Find a Grave - at least what my computer is showing me. Confusing! But thanks for working at this! - Janet

Walter Kosinski
I am a nephew to Walter (Vadik) Kosinski. I believe the photo attached to the memorial is actually another Walter Kosinski (Find A Grave Memorial# 153357533). Vadik suffered from developmental issues and lived the last almost 15 years of his life in the State Hospital in North Warren. The family referred to him as Vadik and only in recent years have I heard anyone in the family call him Walter. Oddly enough his headstone says Walter and not Vadik. I appreciate your efforts.

Hello -
I'm very curious where you got the info that she died in Camden, NJ. I see that her son Arthur lived there, so perhaps she was living with him at the time of her death. ??
Also, I've been perplexed by her husband's marriage to a woman named Emma. She is living with him in 1930 and 1940 and he is listed on her death certificate in 1940. The trouble is that I found a marriage record for a marriage of a Frank Buck and an Emma Getz in 1898 - but he was still married to Jessie then, and even had a child with her after that.
Do you have any info about any of this? It's so confusing!
Thanks a lot - Janet

Hello -

This memorial is a duplicate with #52906207. Yours was created first but I can't find any verification that there is a cemetery called Universalist Cemetery in Patriot, Indiana. Do you have verification of this burial in such a cemetery?
I found an essay about the history of the town of Posey and it mentions an old cemetery at the location cited for the Patriot Cemetery that has the photo of the headstone for William Sherman Buck. It also mentions the formation of the Universalist Church - but does not mention a cemetery associated with it.
Would you please work with the manager of the other memorial to merge them into one - which has the most accurate information the two of you can muster?
It would be much appreciated.
Thanks a lot - Janet (a descendant of William Sherman Buck.

Hannah Ottinger Hansell
Memorial #20446160

I believe the parents of Hannah O Hansell were John/Jonathan Ortner and Catherine Stong. My source is the death certificate on (although they did transcribe her maiden name wrong - Ortner vs Artner).
Name: Hannah O Hansell
[Hannah O Artner]
Gender: Female
Race: White
Age: 66
Birth Date: 1 Nov 1840
Birth Place: Pennsylvania
Death Date: 14 Oct 1907
Death Place: Franconia, Montgomery, Pennsylvania, USA
Father: John Artner
Mother: Catherine Stong
Certificate Number: 101406

She would be the sister of Mary Ortner Eaton, who is also buried at Wentz's. Information on Mary's death certificate:
Name: Mary Eaton
[Mary Ortner]
Gender: Female
Race: White
Age: 79
Birth Date: 15 Jun 1832
Birth Place: Pennsylvania
Death Date: 24 Jun 1911
Death Place: Lansdale, Montgomery, Pennsylvania, USA
Father: Johathan Ortner
Mother: Catherine Stong
Certificate Number: 65281

Find a Grave doesn't like you to post from other sources but I can upload the death certificate so you can see it and then I can remove it. The Pennsylvania death certificates from 1906 to 1963 are available free of charge on Ancestry by accessing them through the PA archives portal:

Thank you,
