Wisconsin Memorial was an indoor blessing to continue working findagrave during the long, cold, snowy winter. It is a wealth of history!

Blessings,
Gayle

RE: Raymond and Marion Dunbar

Thank you VERY VERY much for getting in touch with me!

Yes, I had heard that Thomas Jefferson Dunbar (Marion's husband) was cremated at Forest Home Cemetery but had not been interred there, but have to admit that I hadn't done anything with this information, mainly because I had no clue where they might have been interred. I had wrongly guessed that they were interred with their son, Charles B.

Your email has jolted me into action. I think your suggestion is perfectly reasonable, and I've removed Thomas and Marion into the unknown location category. I've also added your suggestion that they were initially interred at the Fairview Mausoleum. I'd be interested in learning more about Fairview Mausoleum and any leads you'd suggest to where Marion and her husband Thomas might have. According to the Milwaukee County Online Genealogy and Family History Library: "All 1,000 human remains were transferred from Fairview Mausoleum to the Brett Funeral Home and re-interred in the Graceland Cemetery between December 1996 and May 1997. Although Fairview Mausoleum no longer exists, a pair of large stone pillars placed in Section 11 of the Graceland Cemetery mark the new resting place of those formerly interred at “Fairview Mausoleum”."

Now I am wondering if I should move Thomas and Marion into Graceland Cemetery….

Thanks again for the very helpful information that you provided.

Tom

Sr Mary Theodora Simon # 15704192
Hello John, I'm wondering if you might have photos of the other nuns or a group photo of them? There is a chance that my great great aunt might be in a photo. She was a SSND of the same generation and served in the same county as Sr Mary; although buried in different cemetaries. Any help would be appreciated, Thankyou!
Her info is below:
