Bio Photo I am currently working on Woodlawn Cemetery in Independence, Missouri. The cemetery was founded in 1837 with the purchase of 1.25 acres adjacent to the Stayton Family Cemetery for the "interment of all Jackson County residents". In 1845 Joseph and Sally Hansbrough sold one and 6/25 acres of land for use as a grave yard for persons of Jackson County. The land was to be used for the purpose of public burials. This established the cemetery known for many years as the City Cemetery. The land south of the original cemetery was sold to Father Donnelly in 1853 adding six acres on the southern edge calling it Saint Mary Cemetery for the use of Catholic patrons. These three cemeteries were combined in 1922 to become Woodlawn Cemetery. The Woodland Cemetery now contains 56 acres, the final resting place for over 33,000 graves. Within its walls is the history of the Civil War and the Sante Fe Trail.
I spent the summer getting the entire cemetery photographed and I am in the process of posting all to Find A Grave along with any information I can get. The records at Woodlawn start in 1897, but I started at 1910 for now because I can usually find some supporting documents to verify the entries in the book. Always willing to transfer memorials to their family. I also worked on Blue Springs cemetery the summer before. There are a lot of names that I am not posting at this time because I can't find any information on them other than they are listed in the records at Woodlawn. It only gives a name, age, race, gender and date of internment and most of the time a plot location.
At the present time I am mapping out the cemetery. I have documented Division 1, Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 A, 14 B, Stayton Meadows Garden, New St. Mary's Cem., Sec. 21 and Division 2, Sections 1, 2 & 3. I am working on Old St. Mary's Cem., Sec 17 now.

I do not understand what is going on. I still find her this is a copy I will post the other one under this Sarah Brizendine Graham that has all the family linked to her and is under the name Sarah R. A. "Sallie" Brizendine Brown-Graham and made by Created by: L Pritchett

Sorry but this one of the wife of Robert H Graham and and George Brown is a dup as well. The newer memorial has her surname listed as Brown-Graham so am sure is why it did not show up. Am asking as well if you could please remove it. Sorry but the other one has all the links attached to it. Thanks

I am grateful for your work on the Woodlawn Cemetery.

In June 2010, I posted memorials for my cousin, Sarah R.A. Brizendine (Find A Grave #53119706) and her immediate family of her time: Parents, siblings, and both husbands Mr. Brown and Mr. Graham.

In January 2012, you posted Mr Graham's memorial again.

To help keep Find A Grave memorials, as the administrators note about duplicates, might you consider removing this:

Hi! Sylvester Ludwig's wife was named Clara, who was the informant on his death certificate. However, his biological mother's name was also Clara. She was Clara Fieker Ludwig. She was my Great-Grand Aunt. She died when he was 2 1/2 years old. His father, Theodore Ludwig then married Minnie Brink. I have the obituary for Clara Fieker Ludwig and I posted it to her grave memorial page. I also have the actual wedding invitation for Theodore and Minnie Ludwig stating that their wedding date was November 28, 1906. Sylvester was born in 1903.
