Robert Boag
Me again.:) I just noticed something. The inscription on his gravestone is wrong. According to the newspaper, he was born on May 1, 1828 & when he died he was "70 years, 8 months & 15 days" old at the time of his death.

You would wonder why they got it THAT wrong on the stone?

I found the obituary in the Salida Record for Robert. Was wondering if I could add it to his page? I will write it out if there is a place for it & let you decide whether to put it on there or not. Thought it would be nice for any of his family members to be able to see it. It says that he was buried in Woodland Cemetery. But guess they must have changed their minds & had him buried at Fairview, since his gravestone is there. Thank you for all you do.

How do I advise you as to additional information regarding the wife that he moved to Ottawa City with him from New York in 1869?

Chaffee Co. Col. FAG photo BY Mick
Good afternoon Mick, I am a Vermont Civil War buff, and am presently working on a project to locate the last resting places of our "Old Soldiers" that had any ties to Vermont. In my research I have found a few Find A Grave Memorial pages that you have contributed photo's for. There may be others I haven't discovered yet. I am asking if I may use your photos for the Vermont site? (
I have seen the three in Chaffee County, all identical, with the standard Gov. issue along side. All I can say is "WOW" absolutely gorgeous!!!

You will receive the credit for this.
Thank you for your consideration.
