I am a 39 yr old wife & mother who has loved genealogy for many years & have found many connections lost until found on I love to visit cemetaries & take photos of the gravestones.

My local goal is to photograph as many cemeteries in Fillmore County, Wilson & Hart in Winona county, & Money Creek in Houston County. I am very open to transferring memorials to any family members as I would like to help them connect.

My far away goal is to connect as much of my family members gravestones as possible on Findagrave. I have Menuey/Menuez, Steggalls, Larsons (Swedish), Heths, Cutlers, Hills, Nedreaus, Westons, Stones, Harbaughs, Nicholsons, many many more. Predominantly German, Swedish, French & largely English with a little Irish thrown in for good measure. 95% of these are in Iowa, so any photos taken for me are so appreciated as it is a 100 mile trip for me.

Heglie Gravesites
I recently visited Highland Prairie Lutheran Cemetery to see the Heglie gravesites there. My mother's maiden name was Heglie and would be interested to hear from anyone that is related to the Heglies buried at Highland Prairie.
Thank you.

Pauline Roloff.
I made your change for Pauline Roloff. I moved her from Trinity old to Trinity Lutheran Cemetery (New)....The dates don't match and I am not familiar with the family so I went to the register of deeds to double check information. Were they members of the church? LeAnn

Guro Overland
Hi there,
The information you have for Guro Overland at the Highland Prairie Cemetery is incorrect. Steiner was her brother. Johannes was her father. She was actually Guro Overland Nordby, as she was married to Hans Nordby II. In 1870 they moved to Chippewa County near Big Bend, Minnesota with their five children: Ole, John, Antonette, Halvor (my great great grandfather) and Hans III. In 1871 Guro became ill, and because there were no doctors or hospitals on the prairie, Hans II set off with his wife in a lumber wagon, headed for Rushford. Guro died Sept. 12, 1871 and I'm guessing that since he brought her back to the Highland Prairie area, that he left her there to be buried. This was the Overland family stomping ground and because of that she was buried as Overland rather than Nordby. Most of this information is from the Overland Family History written by Audrey Overland and Lorna Anderson in 1986.
Kind regards,
Jody Kashmark Harmon
