My ancestors settled in northeastern Indiana in the 1830s and I am still here. I especially like old obituaries and newspaper clippings, and of course, cemeteries. |
I generally follow the transfer guidelines as outlined by Findagrave. I try to get updates done quickly.
Exceptions: I often take photos when we go on vacation, so if I have a memorial that is not in NE Indiana, I am normally more than happy to transfer it as I have no plans to do research in those areas.
Thanks to all who have sent additional information for the memorials. Time does not allow me to thank each of your personally, but please know that the additional information is greatly appreciated.

|Carole Evans||Hollis Name|
Oops! I forgot one more name: Caroline Hollis, my great-aunt and daughter of Andrew & Catherine Hipp. I have a picture and biographical data I could post but can't right now. Any chance you'd be willing to transfer this one to me, too? (I've only just begun creating Find-A-Grave sites.) Thanks much. Carole
|Carole Evans||Hipp name in Fort Wayne, IN Cemetery|
Hello! Andrew and Catherine Hipp are my great grandparents, and they're buried in the Catholic Cemetery in Fort Wayne, IN. I notice you have created a site for them (thank you very much), but I would like to post some biographical information and a picture and can't do that right now. Would it be possible for you to transfer ownership to me? I would really appreciate it. Carole
Thanks so much! Marion

My GG Grandmother Margaret E. Shaffer married a Saylor/Sayler, but I haven't been able to find out his name. My G-Grandmother Jesse "Nettie" Saylor married my G-Grandfather Robinson. So I have been trolling all the Saylor/Sayler/Saylors Find A Graves trying to find a link. When I see an error, or can add something that would help the memorial, I try to send a correction.

You are so welcome! Glad I could help (and I hope I didn't introduce any typos into it :-))
|Deb Lynch||RE: Thomas Lynch|
looks like I put up the wrong side of the 4 sided monument. I added the parents side. thanks.
|Wendy & John Corcoran||Thanks for responding Sheryl,|
I understand what you are saying about adding the parents, but then I don't like to be clunked over the head by Find A Grave editors for adding an unknown cemetery!
I will add it to the back of my list to do. All of this was researched by records so it can not be lost.
PS You are an extraordinary researcher and a credit to Find A Grave for your research skills and dedication. Thank you. You have helped me so much with the DeWald line, as well. But, all of your obituary columns were in "png" form and I could not use one of them, sadly, for our family records!
|Barry Michie||Jack Gibson|
Glad to see the links accepted for Jack Gibson. As I mentioned earlier I think Jack was his nickname ... makes him a bit difficult to trace in the records.
|ol'mom||Alice Gertrude Souers McClellan|
Alice is #71842312 and husb G.Ray is #71842327.
I'm actually researching the Daughter Anna Marie McClellan. In Alice's "notes" of 1950, her dau. is named as Anna Marie Shinn. In G. Ray's "notes" of 1953 she is named as Anna Marie Tamm. Do you know where this information came from? I have been unable to find a place or date of death for her, or information on whether she had any children. I did find a marriage record for her to John Delmont Shinn in 1932. BUT there is a marriage record for Anna Marie Shinn and Robert K. Ramsay in 1943, in direct conflict with the "Tamm" information. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Donna

|Kathy Phelan||corine whitridge|
Thanks for the obit for Corine Whitridge. She was a relative of mine although I never met her or knew of her existence until I got into my search of the Whitridge line.
My great grandmother was Laura Whitridge who married Edward Tuttle and they produced Clyde Tuttle, my grandfather.
Thanks for the info.
