Sorry, I didn't read down to see that Bev had already mentioned it..... Hope you're having a great week!
Thought this may be a lead on one of your folks when I saw it....

Thanks for your reply. The "duplication" just came to my attention this week so I am only now aware of any possible problems. At this point, I do not think either cemetery should be deleted. History should be left recorded and the resolution of the unforeseen "future" (forming of Lake Anna) should be left for families of those "buried" in the new location. For historical purposes, and until I can make contact with the historical society, I suggest that a brief explanation be placed on the cemetery description page of each cemetery, including the date the explanation was placed on the page. ALSO, discovered recently, it does appear that there are surname errors in the original transcription (1937)....PATTIE should read POTTIE. For some reason, my attempt to contact you through your edit feature yesterday, was blocked. I will try again. Have a WONDERFUL day!

Would you please help with understanding of this cemetery and the Jerdone Castle Graveyard? The memorial pages I created for the burials in Jerdone Castle Graveyard seem to be duplicated by the burials you have created for Pottie Family Cemetery. I used a transcription completed in the 1930s for creation of the memorial pages. I noticed that your source was published in 1984. Is it possible that Pottie Family Cemetery was created immediately before the lake came in to accommodate the established burials at Jerdone Graveyard and these are duplicate burials of the original Jerdone Castle Graveyard? I would appreciate your response.

Lacy is buried in Mills Cemetery, # 132620345, I created his memorial last year, no headstone. I talked with my cousin, this is the Sam Mills Cemetery.

There is also the (Ethel) Mills Cemetery in Egeria, but I know that these two people are not buried in either the Keaton Mills or Ethel Mills Cemetery. The Mills were abundant in Egeria, and it is possible they were buried on private Mills property. If I were you, I would create the Sam Mills Family Cemetery in Egeria and put them there, because I totally documented and photographed both of the other two Mills Cemeteries I mentioned. I have several relatives buried in both of those cemeteries and visit them often. I have Mills cousins, I can ask them if they are familiar with a Sam Mills Family Cemetery, but they should not be listed in the Mills or Keaton Mills Cemeteries.

You created two new memorials for Lacy Meadows and Lacy Meadows, Jr. in Keaton Mills Cemetery in Egeria. Are you sure they are buried there? I fully documented and photographed that cemetery in July, 2014, along with several other of my family cemeteries in the area, and did not find graves for them. Do you have copies of their obituaries you can double check?

Amy: It is so refreshing to see a findagrave photographer take the time to research the person they are adding to a cemetery. It is such a help for those of us who are looking on our lost ancestors.
Keep up the good work!
