|I have been a genealogist for the great majority of my life and am amazed by the power and richness of Find A Grave. It is an honor to contribute.|
I manage Find A Grave accounts as a volunteer for several historical organizations. This account is reserved for my own blood relatives and their spouses. Some remarkable volunteers created a number of these and have graciously transferred them to my care. You will see that I have built nearly 100 virtual cemeteries for my ancestral families. Please check them out!
Also, please visit my virtual cemetery of direct ancestors before requesting a transfer. If you are more closely related to one of my ancestral aunts, uncles or cousins and your request is within Find A Grave guidelines, I will be glad to transfer the memorial to you if you will explain your connection.
If your request is outside Find A Grave guidelines (i.e., the person is not your close relative), I will be glad to consider it if you will explain your connection in detail and let me know how you will build out the memorial. Linking children or getting children linked to your (our) relative, and sponsoring the memorial, are good indicators that you are committed to improving the data.
If you are a direct descendant of any of my ancestors, I will gladly add a link to your profile from that memorial noting that you are also a descendant--just ask. (Or add a flowers note explaining your connection.)
I welcome contact about any of my families, and hope the information I have posted is of help to you. I don't post my personal email address publicly; but if you want to contact me, please leave a public message or join Find A Grave and send a message through the edit function at one of my memorials. I will respond as promptly as I can. I am always glad to meet new cousins, or reconnect with old ones.
We are put on this planet to give of ourselves as we can to the people around us and the strangers we meet. I believe that in the interest of accuracy and fostering appreciation of our ancestors, we should try to share information with our kin and the public as much as we possibly can. If our ultimate purpose is not to disseminate what we have learned, then we are just navel-gazing.
Acts of genealogical kindness always come back in kind--one way or another. It might not be direct or immediate; but I have found this "pay it forward" principle to be true time and again as a researcher.
Finally, I believe graves and the memory of our ancestors are sacred things, and foremost the responsibility of family. We are commanded to honor our mothers and fathers. And it is a blessing for ourselves as well when we help others to do this.
Special thanks to the following contributors for their volunteer work and their many kindnesses: Wayne Irons, Scott Balyer, Carol Foss, Judy Ryan, Donna Jones, Leigh Miller, Jessi-Schnittchen, T.V.F.T.H., Albuquerque Firefly, Sharri Bodnar, Steve Grove, Hamilton Square Presbyterian Church (Jean Woodman), Mary Ann Missimer-Moore, Bill McCrea, Rob Minteer, Debbie Davis, Rebecca Evans, Clara McIver, Kathy Smith, James Seidelman, Mary Harrell-Sesniak, the late Meg Stevens, Graves (West Laurel Hill Cemetery), The Bull, Walter Hellerman, Larry Krueger, Jenny, Dawn D., and Tony & Cindy Lloyd. I am simply in awe of all of them.

Hi, Joe. I've added two personal pix of Ida to her memorial, as well as new tombstone and plot pix, plus some more basic details to her bio (more details will probably be added at some future point, when I eventually look through cousin correspondences, etc., I've collected throughout the years). I also linked her to her 1st husband Randolph P. McCracken's memorial. You may like to check out Ida's memorial again now:

Hello, again. I've just posted two additional photos apiece in the memorials for Samuel J. and Mary (nee Kerns) Lodge. The shots are nice and clear and high resolution; they're enlargeable. I think you'll be very pleased with them. Best regards, Dave

Hi, Joe. I just posted one additional tombstone pic apiece in the memorials for Samuel J. and Mary (nee Kerns) Lodge. They're inscription close-ups that I snapped back in mid Feb., when visiting and photographing several family graves in Bethel Cem., Lewes. You may like to check out the newly posted shots. Best regards, Dave Wilson

Hi, Joe. Thanks for contacting me. Please check for an e-mail that I just sent you. It will probably be found in your spam folder, since we've never been in touch with one another previously. Best regards, Dave Wilson

You are quite welcome. Glad to transfer memorials to family members.
Joe, I transferred Martha, Edson, Katherine, Emma, and George to you. I photographed the cemetery last year and updated Find A Grave. So good to have family members united.

I noticed you wrote, "Rest in peace Cousin" on the Charles Harold Levy page. Are you a relative? If so, I would like to chat further, as I am also related through his Aunt Ida, my great-grandmother. I am struggling with research, so perhaps you might be able to fill in a few blanks? Thanks.

Happy to make the transfer!
