My husband, Walter, and I have raised a son, Mark, who lives in Mississippi with his wife, Beverly; and a daughter, Judy, who lives in Texas with her husband, Eric, and daughter, Ansleigh. Walter is a retired police officer, and I am also retired from the same police department.|
We want to thank those that have left flowers for our loved ones, family and friend alike. We also wish to express a special thanks to those people who took photographs for us. God bless you all.
I have received a great deal of assistance from many people as I have researched our family, and this assistance was usually done from the goodness of people's hearts. Because of this, I have entered memorials of our family members and memorials for people I do not know that lived in the Victoria, Texas, area in the hopes this will be helpful to someone in the future.
In reference to the memorials that I have posted at Findagrave.com, I will be glad to correct any errors or omissions, or delete any memorials if you will just contact me. Also, if someone has something they want added to one of the memorials I have done, I would be glad to add that information. In most cases, I have gotten the information I have used from the local newspaper or information I have learned through genealogical research.
Concerning the photographs I have posted on memorials, please feel free to use them.
Some surnames I am researching are: Bryan, Wood, Agee, Thomasson, Hoke, Strong, Hill, Donoho (Donohoo, Donohue), Weshinskey (Wycyznski), Robertson, Hoermann, Klaus (Claus), Beam (Boehm), Gainer, Skeen (Skene) and Arthur.

Any idea where first wife Rufina is at so we can connect her?

You just sent me an edit on Fannie Hoke #49489555, and then sent another one for "no change" ... please clarify what you are wanting: change or no change. Thank you.

I think this will make the relationships clearer.
Susan Walker Bumgarner isn't the mother of Sequoyah, she was the grandmother. Ruth Malcena Harp is the mother of Sequoyah Bumgarner.
I know of one closer relation but she's not on findagrave.

And that you for updating the memorial. Have a good day!
|Barbara Hysell Carlton||RE: sorry|
That's ok, I too have not been on this site for a while, thank you.
|Mary Kirby||J D Bean|
Mary I am related to JD Bean but it's distant so no need to transfer. I appreciate the offer though.
|Gerald Jacobs||RE: Pvt. Maurice Groce # 19313929|
Thank you for linking Maurice Groce....No I am not related to to the Groce family; however I was employed by Groce-Wearden Company of 37 years. I have relatives in Evergreen Cemetery and found the Groce headstones and took pictures and set them up as a courtesy. There is no need to transfer memorial to me.

While the obit doesn't provide the date per se you can take the clues it does offer and come up with a date that supports what's on his gravestone. The paper was published on 11 Sept 1969 - that alone tells you the SSDI is not correct as it was published before the date they provide. 11 Sept 1969 was a Thursday and the obit states he died Monday morning which would have been the 8th.

I posted an obit for William Henry Strong - # 18786186 - on his memorial in hopes of aiding you in determining his date of death. I did it that way as it's the only way I could get the obit to you. You may delete it if you choose or rearrange the order of the "pictures".
