I am retired and, until Nov. 2010, full-time RV'd with my husband. We settled in Kerrville, TX planning to RV part-time -- until cancer took my husband Feb'12. We both worked on our family histories and visited family and other cemeteries while traveling 50,000 miles across/up/down the USA. (Aug '08 to Nov '10) We photoed as many headstones as possible along the way, especially military. |
My genealogy search is Grogan, McQueen, Scull, Coolbaugh, Burnside, Connolly, Hamlin. John's was Boyd & Anglin.
Also, please feel free to use the HEADSTONE or CEMETERY pictures I post on FindAGrave. That's why I put them up!!
Lastly, I maintain a heck of a lot of memorials that I inherited from my husband. If you are related, I will happily transfer to you - just ask via the EDIT tab on the memorial. Let me know your relationship to the memorial, please.
IF REQUESTING INFO ADDED TO A MEMORIAL, PLEASE USE EDIT TAB AND BE SURE TO NOT ONLY LIST CITY AND STATE BUT ALSO COUNTY!!!!

I am trying to out together our family tree and in doing so, I see you posted pictures of my grandparents at the Springbok cemetery in Penna. I was 11 when Grandpa Garren passed away. My mom was Ann(nan) Garren and she has been gone since 92. I hope you can help shed some light on missing puzzle pieces that I have searching for a very long time.

Thank you very much for the transfer of my aunt Alice # 44841312. I can now link her to other members of her family.
Thank you also for all the work you do for this site.
My sympathy on the loss of your husband last year.

In colorado county they spell Wolff with 2 "L".This may have been the way it was spelled in Germany.

Many thanks for transferring our cousins into our care. I read your profile and am sad that you lost your husband in 2012, however, I see you are continuing to carry the torch forward. Bless you for all you have done.

We both have a memorial for Giles Hamlin at the Ancient Burial Ground. I would be happy to delete my memorial, but it has a picture of the head stone, which you don't have. May I transfer my memorial to you so that you can combine them?

I'm so sorry to hear about you losing John. Unfortunately, someone has said (and it's true) that our passing is a part of life that we all must face. I just turned 80 in February and my wife and I are in the process of getting our final arrangements in order, including payment for the cost of burials. We both plan to be cremated and have our ashes interred at the Veteran's Cemetery in Killeen, Texas. I just hope that we get everything done before it is too late. We don't want our children to end up having to pay the bills.
