We enjoy exploring and documenting cemeteries, and feel it is important to preserve them through this site, before time takes its toll. We have seen so many cemeterys trod upon freely by cattle, neglected and vandalized. We dont mind at all to transfer a memorial to a family member or a loved one who wishes to maintain their loved ones site, unless they are one of our kinfolk. We think this is a wonderful way to remember those who have gone on before us and preserve that memory for generations to come. As for duplicates, I have made some, as there are a couple of people who, possibly with initial good intentions, have made thousands of memorials, and then refuse to edit, correct, link family members, or even be contacted in any way. I find it rude that they hold MY family members hostage by the China like "one child rule", and I am unable to link my family so my real family can find them. I love this site, but it is a long way from perfect and I hope they will come up with a merging solution or something else, if duplicates are such a plague to them.|

You photographed the gravestone for Lola C Lay - memorial #108644093. The memorial does not give what cemetery she is buried in. Do you know where you located her gravestone?

Have you ever read http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~kyekg/cemlaws.htm
It is about KY cemetery laws. I'm not a lawyer, so I don't understand all of it. Maybe you have already looked into it. I feel the pain of not being able to access of a family site.

That is so heart breaking! Is there no law in KY about the care of graveyards or historical sites? Even my grandma was related to Masseys. both side can go back to Jacob and Catharine.

Thank you for the work you have done on the site. Thank you for add my info. And mostly thanks for the photo! Not even my Dad (Mary's grandson) knew where she was. My Grandpa (George H Sears) could not remember. He was about 6 years old when he lost his mom to TB.

I started a memorial for my grandma that passed away 2 weeks ago. While I was in the process I ran across this memorial of my papaw. Thank you so much for doing such a grat job :)
Thank you so much for the unexpected transfer of James and Mary Ellen to me. They were wonderful people and are sadly missed. Both of them lived to be 93 years old. Having there memorials means more than words can say. Thank you for all your hard work on Find A Grave and all your kindness.

I'm sorry but I was so upset when I sent you the obit information for Mary Ellen Lloyd 81270209 I forgot to ask you to link her to her loving husband, James Lloyd, 81270191 who died last year. They were such wonderful people. It is such a loss. Thank you for all you do on Find A Grave.
