Bio and Links
Bio Photo NOTE: As of November 2014, I've made it through surgery and am 3/4 of the way through chemotherapy. I'm very hopeful, and very appreciative of all the words of kindness and encouragement.

As of August 2014, I'm dealing with my mother's recent death and my own recent cancer diagnosis. Please be patient with any suggestions / edits you send. Thanks in advance!

[PLEASE read (starting with para. 2) before contacting me about a memorial; it will save us both time and trouble. Thanks!]

I'm a history major and a lawyer (University of Virginia, Emory University;) a fanatic about live music (Todd Rundgren, Gene Owens, the blues;) and a photographer. I'm a wife and a mother (a son who recently graduated from law school at the University of Georgia and a daughter who recently graduated from Tulane.) I have a house full of rescued dogs and cats.

If I'm the caretaker of a memorial for someone who was closer to you than to me, I'll consider transferring that memorial to you; feel free to ask, but please include DETAILS as to your relationship to the deceased.

If you have additional information or links that you want added to a memorial, please send details and DO include links to your SOURCES: I'm unlikely to make additions/links if I can't verify their accuracy

All requests for transfers, all suggestions, and all corrections MUST be sent via the edit tab on the memorial in question. If you use the "Other" option you'll be able to send an explanation of, and links to, your sources for suggested changes to a memorial.

If you need to write me at my email address about something else (e.g., a suggestion or correction I've sent you,) PLEASE include a copy of any relevant correspondence and a link to the memorial(s) in question.

If I've posted a cemetery photograph that you want to use on Ancestry, please feel free to do so IF and ONLY IF you include the entire caption as the photograph description. You MUST get my express permission to use any of my photographs OTHER than those taken in cemeteries.

John Wiley Garrison
He was not buried in Westmond as stated. He was buried in Lakeview Cemetery beside his wife, Martha M Garrison in Sandpoint, Idaho. Please correct.

Your Profile
Just read your profile- as I was not asking-but thanking-
I have been through Cancer twice-though the "good kind" Last time thyroid 2 types-but lived on thyroid tissue-and had just had 85% of that out. Did Radioactive Iodine to kill the rest- now over 10 years. Been through Brain Aneurysm- kind that kills 98%- and in Emory Intensive Care 7 1/2 weeks. Just went through complete hip surgery- so keep your chin up and think positive!
My son graduated from UGA by the way- 4/0 Ave. Cost Anyl. But he works with web pages-manages an Atlanta Co. after a stint at Paper Co in Asheville NC. He discovered he did not have the accounting type personality- he says. 3 more and 77. Still kicking.

I want to thank you for directions you sent someone else on putting proof on findagrave. I usually cut and paste, or tell them I will copy it if they want. Never thought of sending the address etc! In computers since before you were born. (1401 IBM in NY 1960) and on home ones from the beginning- Apple 2C... but sometimes it takes two minds! Genealogy over 36 years.

I extend a very sincere thank you and apology for the 4 month lateness in acknowledging the lovely token you left for my loved eldest brother.

He is now with our parents and in God's keeping.
