Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been interested in cemeteries since I was young. My interest started by going with our neighbor's grandfather who was caretaker of our local cemetery. We would ride to the cemetery on his tractor. I enjoyed walking around reading the gravestones. Now I know that there is more. Each cemetery has it's own history and beauty. They all tell a story. By adding memories and pictures, I hope to share this history and beauty. I am a cemetery walker.

"A cemetery is a history of people - a perpetual record of yesterday and sanctuary of peace and quiet today. A cemetery exists because every life is worth loving & remembering always." Unknown

Possible find?
I made this up for a photo request so someone can look into it for me but this seems like a very plausible place

RE: Curious
Hrmm, these would be his first cousins so not sure how he would have the wrong cemetery. I've made up these memorials for them if you happen to come across them.

RE: Curious
A cousin of mine wrote a family history on the Donnan family and a few of his close family he has buried within Lyons Cemetery south of York but I can't seem to find anything at all about the cemetery anywhere online so I'm not sure if its been renamed or lost. He wrote this history about 1935

Hey Dalia, I saw that you added a photo to a memorial for Fraser Cemetery in York, New York. I was curious if you happened to live in the area for a question.

Did you send the following email through Ancestry?Hi Denise -I see that you have the Gruettners in your family tree. Gustave Gruettner was my great grandfather. His daughter Emma was my father's (Albert J Hoffmann) mother. I am wondering if you would share how you are related to the Gruettner? I have memories for the Gruettners and Hapkes on Find a Grave. I am wondering if I could uses your pictures of them on my memories? DHM
If so I tried to reply through Ancestry but it was rejected possibly since we let our subscription lapse. Following was my reply-Gustave was my great- grandfather also although through Emma's stepsister Martha. Go right ahead and use any of the pictures. Do you have the picture of the family in front of the house? If not I could send it to you
