Bio Photo When I was researching my own family, I received a great deal of help from complete strangers who were willing to help me without asking anything in return. This my way of paying that forward. So it tickles me beyond words to discover my headstone photos as part of someone's family tree. How sad would it be if after all the photos are taken and posted and researched and documented that no one looked at them or cared that they were there. So to those of you who have found my photos and made use of them, thanks for caring and you're most welcome.

I feel that its important to say at least a little something about each of their lives. They lived, they loved, and had families. For those that have nothing there, they're not forgotten, I just haven't gotten there yet. And while I don't always cite my sources on each memorial, for Long Island special thanks goes to Carolee Nichols Diamond and David Roberts for their unending patience and wealth of information; the transcriptions and family photos of Elbert N. Carter; George Moraitis, Historian for the Cedar Hill Cemetery, Port Jefferson (R.I.P. my friend); Steve Gill from the Patchogue Cemeteries Restoration Committee; Dan Prunty, Ruland Funeral Home and President of Cedar Grove Cemetery, for his patience and tireless trips into the basement.

If you find something that needs correcting, or if you have information you'd like added, please use the SAC and I'll be happy to make the changes. If you need to contact me, send to aislin at optonline dot net

I was amazed at what you had down for Scudder Platt, this is my grandson's 5th Gr Grandfather!
I would like to know how did you come about learning his parents names? I am sooo interested in your sources. I also have him married to a Martha Weeks, his first marriage and having a daughter Sarah who went on to Marry Thomas Wood Skidmore. Any info would be greatly appreciated!!

Sure, I can certainly live with that. I only felt that by putting me in that spot it kind of looked like I had provided all the info that YOU had provided. So whatever you are most comfortable with is OK with me.

But I have to thank you for making me realize (after all the hundreds, maybe thousands of times I have done this, I could have used html to more easily access my findagrave page. Why hadn't I thought of that??) So one good turn deserves another.

Let me know if you need some other translation. :-)
