Bio Photo CONTRIBUTORS - PLEASE DON'T ADD OBITUARIES TO MY MEMORIALS IN THE "LEAVE A FLOWER" SECTION. THE REASON I HAVE STOPPED ADDING THE OBITS IS BECAUSE OF FINDAGRAVE RULES. My families are Chambers, Birdyshaw, Estes, Williams, Cole, Jester, Seymore, Bonds. My husbands family Carpenter and Keller.
Some people have a problem with their pictures being used by others; I don't. If you want to use any pictures I have posted, feel free. If I have created a memorial for your family member and you need me to transfer it to you, I have no problem with that. Just let me know.
I don't do memorials for the numbers; I try to link family members for other generations and wish that all contributors would do the same.

THE RECORDING OF A CEMETERY
BY THELMA GREENE REAGAN
Today we walked where others walked
On a lonely, windswept hill;
Today we talked where other cried
For Loved Ones whose lives are stilled.

Today our hearts were touched
By graves of tiny babies;
Snatched from the arms of loving kin,
In the heartbreak of the ages.

Today we saw where the grandparents lay
In the last sleep of their time;
Lying under the trees and clouds -
Their beds kissed by the sun and wind.

Today we wondered about an unmarked spot;
Who lies beneath this hollowed ground?
Was it a babe, child, young or old?
No indication could be found.

Today we saw where Mom and Dad lay.
We had been here once before
On a day we'd all like to forget,
But will remember forever more.

Today we recorded for kith and kin
The graves of ancestors past;
To be preserved for generations hence,
A record we hope will last.

Cherish it, my friend; preserve it, my friend,
For stones sometimes crumble to dust
And generations of folks yet to come
Will be grateful for your trust.

Hunter/ Seymore families
I am a descendant of John Hunter brother to Sarah Hunter Seymore. John was married twice according to the history of Winston county book. His first wife was Mary Jane Campbell. I am trying to find out who her parents were. Was wondering if you have any information on this family.

Rosa Emaline Owen memorial # 116131037 (Mother)
Luther Howard Owen memorial #116132227 (dad)
I was going to try and link them myself but it seem to me that I either forgot how or I am not the one who originally started this memorial. Thank you so much

RE: Sarah Gallman Estes
Her grave maybe unmarked. If you could take a picture of the grave site, hopefully it is marked as Estes. It may be close to other Estes relatives. Thank you very much for all of your help. I wish I could go with you to the grave site. Yesterday I was looking for another relative Bean. Found a Bean but the wrong one.

I am glad there are people who are interested in their ancestors. If I could get a picture of the grave (even if it is unmarked and was beside her husbands) and it had a tombstone, showing the date of death. State of Alabama does not have a Death Certificate. Any information would be greatly appreciated. I enjoy looking for my ancestors. I am very glad to meet you. If I can assist you with any research let me know.
