Find-A-Grave is a great web site. It allows one to search for an ancestor without having a local cemetery index book.|
We know how difficult it is to research when living out of state. We have met many helpful people that we consider friends and family. That is the reason we enjoy giving back by being a Photo Volunteer.
Over the years we have collected some 6,000 photos. In an attempt to not have them lost and forgotten, we are placing them here on Find-A-Grave for others searching to find. When we find that a Memorial Page has not yet been created, we will create one. If someone is your family and you wish to manage their Memorial Page we would be happy to transfer them to you.

Thank you so much for posting the grave site of my paternal grandparents, Carl and Corrie Kilgore. I did not know my grandfather, but "Mama Corrie" was a very special lady and grandmother to several, several grandchildren in the Kilgore family.

Hi, Thank you for all you have done on find a grave. You are truly a blessing to a lot of us. this Viola Messer Pruitt who married James Hosea Pruitt. How sure are you of the Messer. This is supposed to be my grandmothers sister. everything matches except her maiden name was Mobley. She could have married and I not know it. Thank you again and god bless. Linda

I can't express my gratitude to you in words. Your time and consideration gave me so much. I don't know how you where able to add the newspaper articles, but I have found my fathers family from your thoughtfulness. They have been looking for me for years. I'm his only child and I'm all they have left of him. I was six when he was killed in the car accident and have never known them. I honestly can't thank you enough. I'm finally complete at 45 yrs old. Thank you for the photo of his grave, and thank you for going the extra step to provide the newspaper articles.

You have my grandmothers name wrong. It should be Mary Ella Sizemore Sitz. Please correct.
|Pamela Thompson||Gravestone Photos Permission|
Thank you for photographing the Alford gravestones of James Thomas Alford in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. I appreciate it.
I would like to add these gravestone photos to the (non-profit) Alford American Family Association's collection of Alabama Obituaries, where their obituaries are (or will be) included. You can see the current collection at http://www.alfordassociation.org/OBITS/ALOBIT.htm.
May I have your permission to include your gravestone photos? If so, the photo caption will say:
Photo from [cemetery name, city, county, state]—www.findagrave.com
Permission granted by the photographer, GGS[or your name if you prefer]
And thanks so much for your gravestone photo work!

Ella Maude Reeves Mangum was married to Hubert Mangum and her son's name was Russell Lee Mangum. I don't know who the other lady is. Ella died July 20, 1957 in Gadsten, Alabama

How do you know she died in a Gadsden hospital? It looks like she would have been buried by her husband and son doesn't it?
|Brenda Taliaferro||Mangum Grave|
Thank you so much for the photo of Russell Lee and Hubert L. Mangum grave. Did you see Ella Maude Mangum buried near by?
