Hello - We got the Genealogy BUG in 1977 - been at IT ever since. Just found Findagrave (2009)- LOVE it. Has given me answers as well as created questions. Bill is working on Southern Varner's & all their connections from PA & NC. Bobbye with some cousins has been working on all 13 children of Jacob Shadrach Champion, who died in 1832 in SC. As well as Robert Taliaferro & Thomas Boulware lines of VA. Thanks to all the Findagrave people who have helped us and drop a line if we can help you.|

|JSM||RE: Annie Tate Williams|
Thank you for making these connections. Annie Tate Williams given name is Lena J. possibly Jean. According to family history her husband Jean Tate died in the mid teens of appendicitis after attempted emergency surgery on a kitchen table. We presume he is buried at one of the Pilot Grove cemeteries. Annie married shortly after to a Scott so in the 1920 census she is listed with her children as Lena Scott, widowed. In the 1930 census however, she's listed as divorced. She married Charles Archibold Williams after his first wife died in 1932 and they lived in Van Alstyne until her death. Annie's four children are buried in Pilot Grove: James Edwin Tate, Esta Mary Taylor, Dee Tate, and Jeanie Garland. The stone for Tate babies could very well be Annie's as well.

I'm glad you came forward to claim this memorial! Take care!
|Wayne Smith||Dinglers, New York|
You will recall I provided you w/gps readings for Bruce & Freeman Dingler, which you added to their memorials; in accessing those #s there was a problem which findagrave says we need to add a - before the longitude, which only you will be able to do. I'm correcting the other Dinglers now and when clicking on the #s it gives a correct map (close) whereas before it would show someplace in China w/out the -. Just wanted to let you know about this development. I am in the process of adding gps to Leagueville and have found an error on my part, so will have to be careful and check for accuracy. I was hoping this would let anyone searching pinpoint the grave location; don't know what device would be necessary to do this with and would appreciate help. Lisa S., who provided the readings for New York is trying to help me get started. Wishing you all the best,
|Donald Miller||Truman Pepper|
Yes I happen to be close by last Tuesday with some time on my hands took several photos and posted them. I am also am able to search veteran records of the National Cemeteries and Valentine Lorraine is listed there as [Wife of Truman Willis Pepper]. They are the only two Peppers in the main records.
Happy to have done it for you.
