Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hello - We got the Genealogy BUG in 1977 - been at IT ever since. Just found Findagrave (2009)- LOVE it. Has given me answers as well as created questions. Bill was working on Southern Varner's & all their connections from PA & NC. He passed away November 2015. Bobbye with some cousins has been working on all 13 children of Jacob Shadrach Champion, who died in 1832 in SC. As well as Robert Taliaferro & Thomas Boulware lines of VA. Thanks to all the Findagrave people who have helped us and drop a line if we can help you.

May 2016 - Received some edits earlier and some how they were removed. If I didn't get to your edit would you please send it again? Thanks, Bobbye

Thank you...
so very much for the photograph of my great aunt Lillie Sehorn's marker! I very honestly did not think I would ever get a photograph since the cemetery is so big.

I appreciate your time and effort very much!

RE: Mary A.
I have looked at the Edwin Davis buried at Memorial Gardens, Livingston, Sumter, AL and that is not him. I found other records for this person living in Sumter Co. in 1930, and again in a 1940 census with wife Annie Joe.

The death record in Orange County for William Davis might very well be correct, but I can find no burial record. I do know that he and Dorris lived in FL most of their adult lives, and had adopted children, I believe - cannot remember names. Ed's wife was definitely Margaret, and they were living in Columbus, GA (lived in FL most of adult lives) when my grandmother passed away in December, 1970. I just cannot recall when he might have died because I was in college and lived out of state after 1972.

Thanks for your response.

RE: Mary A.
You are right; Joel was their child. He was the youngest and is buried with his parents. No one in my family had ever said their was a 3rd child, but I did find his burial record and photo of his grave..

I knew William and Ed Davis growing up. They were my grandmother's nephews and both lived in Florida most of the time. I have found a death record for a William T. Davis in Orange County, FL for Sep 1964. This could be right, but I find nothing on Find-A-Grave. His wife's name was Annie Dorris.

Edwin A. "Ed" Davis was married to Margaret LNU, and they lived in Florida after he was an adult. They had moved to the Columbus, GA area for his last few years, and I know he was alive after 1970. I lost touch with him after my grandmother died, and unfortunately there is no one left alive who would know.

Also Earl Washington Forester is buried at Winston Memorial, I know he went to church at New Hope so he may be part of those you're looking for.

No, the whole cemetery hasn't been photographed but most of it has. I will try to get over there and do the rest of the cemetery when weather is better and will try to do some research on the forester family. Some of the Foresters who lived in that area (Dillar and Lottie) are buried in Winston County at Winston Memorial, don't know if they are related to the ones you are researching.
