|Sondra ||RE: Shiloh Methodist Church|
I ran into a fellow at Buffalo Baptist Church and he was able to tell me where to find the Shiloh Cemetery the church has been torn down so I was looking for a church! I hope to be able to get some kind of sign to hang on the fence so the cemetery will be not be forgotten.
I have since gone back and photographed all the headstones and hope to be able to post them as my time and data allow.

|R. L. Vaughn||RE: Fay Hensley|
Thanks, Dee, for letting me know. I'll see if I can find someone who might be familiar with this. Have a great day.
|R. L. Vaughn||Fay Hensley|
Thought I'd contact you since you took the picture of Fay Hensley's tombstone. Do you know if Fay was moved from Oak Grove Cemetery to Caledonia, or if they just put a memorial stone at Caledonia? Her death certificate says she was buried at Oak Grove (the abandoned cemetery below Caledonia, not Oak Grove in Nacogdoches) and her daughter Ollie was buried there, though the marker is now at Caledonia.
Any help or suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

The photo I needed from you is for Ziba Hazen (#66077018). What state do you live in? I may need more photos taken in your area for some of the other soldiers?

I am writing a two-volume book on the 8th Indiana. I would like to include photos of the soldiers and their headstones with their biographies. I would like to use some of your photos in the book and will give you credit in the caption for each photo. If you are interested, I can let you know when the book is published. If it is ok to use your photos, could you also give me your first and last name for the captions?
|catherinelangford||RE: William Russell Daniel|
You have helped me tremendously! I got some conflicting information from an elderly relative but I couldn't find any information to back up his research. My paternal great grandmother was Minnie Ola Daniel daughter of William Russell Daniel.
Thank you again.

I have received conflicting information on who William's father is. My new information says Jesse Daniel but I can't find any info on this person. Can you help? Thank you!

You are very welcome.

I know it's a lot to ask but my question is about Find A Grave Memorial# 16758694 which reads "Find A Grave Memorial# 16758694".
Do you have any information what-so-ever on her other than what is in the memorial? A key bit of info would be where in SC she was born. If Abbeville, SC she is an aunt or cousin. If Laurens, Greenville, Spartanburg absolutely not my line as I have Ydna tested all the early lines in the area.
I guess if you knew her parents names you'd have shared that in the Mem already but any info on them would also be greatly appreciated. My line in Abbeville is George Ambus Christopher (b. 1822) and his sister Jane Christopher. I have 4 concurring Ydna kits for this line. George's sister, Jane, married Thomas Jefferson Mathews and is now the Jane Elizabeth Christopher who married Thomas McKnight.

The cemetery is in fairly decent shape...you can kinda "dig" around with the heel of your feet in some places and find unmarked stones...my wife and I spent a while there looking for it! Especially with the other Cawthons near by...hate when I cant find them cause they're unmarked!
