Hi John - I was wondering if you could spare some time and help me out with this question? I came across the memorial page for Robert Hunter # 77612614 The bio info says son of Robert and Jane and that Robert died at age 2 years. I was wondering if you are nearby the cemetery (Gallups Cemetery - Sterling, Windham Co, Connecticut)? I am looking for Roberts parents - Robert Sr and his wife / mother of Robert Jr. who is Jane (Wylie) Hunter. It's probably a long shot due to the age and condition of the gravestone - but I was wondering if it would be at all possible to see if there is a burial of the parents and near the infant? I was wondering also if the gravestones are even readable today - as they are very old and may have weathered over time. Thanks for any info you could send my way to the Midwest!

I checked with the Pittsfield Cemetery office again today. They have no record of Mary or her husband Henry being buried there.

John, I'm going to try again at Pittsfield Cemetery now that I have her maiden name and date of death. Do you know if her husband is buried there? I might be able to find it under his name.

I just discovered that replies to inquiries are posted in one place on Find A Grave web site! There are several and I am just now responding.
Thank you for your reply.
I'll be out from California in August to spend more time looking through Connecticut graveyards.
Thanks again... Tom

Hello John, Thank you so much for all you are doing for Find A Grave and all our ancestors.
Is it possible to get the inscription on Jonathan Jones grave stone? I can't quite read it.
Thank you, Doxandra McCaw-Cook
