|My name is Melissa and I joined this websight to try to find additional information on my family history and add the information that I have to try to help other people with the information that I have. Also, if you do try to contact me directly through email can you please write "findagrave" in the subject line. Thank you. If not I will most likely think it is spam and delete it. |
I also have began to transcribe cemeteries with as much information that I can find on who is buried there.

Melissa, Thanks for the reply. Could you give me the name of the contributor you helped? Perhaps I can find an email address for him and ask what sections he covered.

Hello Melissa, I have some photos from this cemetery I would like to add but it appears you have added quite a few pictures already. Did you take photos in just one section of the cemetery and, if so do you recall which section it was?
Thanks for your help,

I have an account on Ancestry, but have never posted a family tree on there yet. I use it mainly for research. I have seen many trees with errors that I want to be really sure about mine before I post it.

Thank you very much for the transfers. I truly appreciate the time and work you put into making them and I will take good care of them. It means a lot. If I can help you in any way please let me know. I would be interested in talking family history if you would be interested. Send me an email. Thank you so much again.

Sorry, I reread your messages and you stated they were your grandparents also. I missed that when I read that before. I'd be happy to share information on the family with you if you email me. Thanks again, Rick

|RickC||RE: cemetery name|
Thanks for responding back, I understand being busy. I'm sorry for the duplicate. I posted it before I found yours and then realized you had posted him buried in Cumberland. I actually intended to delete mine after his cemetery was corrected. I'll delete mine. I just wanted him listed in the correct cemetery. The cemetery confusion is a problem. The confusion comes because the Cumberland Church was moved from its location next to the original Cumberland cemetery in Hebbardsville, less than a couple miles away, to the current location years ago. The Cumberland name stayed with the church for a while before being changed to Alexander. Causing confusion for people when they talk about the cemetery. The old part behind the church was called Union Cemetery. My father's family grew up in a house that used to sit on the current site of the Alexander Cemetery. I still live near the cemetery and have been to Alexander/Union and the old Cumberland. What would be nice if there was a way to make a notation stating the confusion. I would really like to compare notes on our ancestors. I have some information also on the Drake side. I'm glad they are your relatives also. Richard Drake is my 3rd great grandfather. His daughter Mary Drake married Israel Crossen. If Mary and Israel are not your grandparents would you be willing to transfer them? They are my 2nd great grandparents. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks for all the memorials.

Can you tell me if this particular Samuel Burns is the one who married Clara "Daisy" Pease?

I would assume Hilda is buried in Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Cleveland Ohio with husband Adolph (burial lot 89 sec. F, Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery[Genealogy.com, Family Archive #110, Vol. 2 L-Z, Ed. 9, Social Security Death Index: U.S., Date of Import: 17 Dec 2000, Internal Ref. #22.214.171.124951.174])
