Bio Photo Hey Everyone;
My husband and I have three daughters.
Our eldest daughter has given my husband and I three grand babies. We are enjoying every minute that we get to spend with them!

I have been researching mine and my husband's genealogy for over 24 years.
Some family surnames I am researching are;
Ivie, Williams, Boykin, Howard, Sherwood, Ingram (Ingraham), Jayroe, Nickerson, Harris, Ash, Owen(s), Gaston, Hughes, Allen, Watson, Payne, Long, Dyer, O'Neal, Allison, Goss, Goforth, Davenport, Pocahontas descendants, and many others.

I enjoy going to various cemeteries and taking photos of headstones for Find-A-Grave, as well as for family information, and to help others that aren't able to go to these cemeteries themselves and see their family/ancestors headstones.

I am trying to trace members of the Sheck family, connections of my family tree. I see you have that this child was the son of Christopher &Jane (Parley) Sheck. Do you have a source for that information? There are records out there saying a possible brother with the same name & parents came to Michigan, died here in 1871 and was buried at the same cemetery in NB. This is confusing to me, so if there is a solid record saying the child in your memorial is in fact the son of C & J Sheck, that would settle my confusion. Thanks

Hi Beth,
It's been awhile that I have written you but was wondering where you might have gotten the picture that you put on Rufus Watson's Memorial page #21130628. It is so dark and I would like to track down a copy of the actual Photo. It looks like it may have been copied out of book, but someone as the real picture that I maybe can talk into making me a copy or coping it and putting it on here or facebook so I can save it to my Computer. And would this be the only picture of Rufus that you may have. I have nothing myself except for a copy of your picture that you put on his page. Anyway I wish you a Mighty Fine Day. David L. Watson

RE: Hey Caroline
Good morning, Beth:

Actually, my name is Theresa. I live in South Carolina, so I just did a name play on the song, Sweet Caroline and family lineage:)

I am Mabel Lanier's daughter. Cliff was her dad. And, funny that you should mention Larry Carpenter. I just noticed his name yesterday as manager of Tempie Eliza's memorial. My mom recalls his name, but couldn't recall who exactly he is. I haven't had any interaction with him so far. I'm primarily interested in direct descendants of the Laniers, Clouds, and Pridmores.

Thanks for all the transfers. I'm trying to get as much ancestry information together as possible for my great niece and nephew. Hopefully, they won't have to spend the years searching that I have.

Take care and have a blessed week...and thanks for the tip.

Pulaska Brooks aka Knox Brooks #33547667
I have been trying very hard to find a death date for Pulaski Knox Brooks (Pulaska on the tombstone), with no success. The tombstone looks as though it was put up by the Sons of Confederate Veterans and has no information other than his Confederate service. I don't know if you took the photo in Shiloh Cemetery in Clay County, but there is a funeral home plate at the base of the stone with the name Knox Brooks. I am wondering if there is funeral home or other information on that metal plate that is stuck into the ground. It appears that he died sometime in 1907, since there is an entry in the Confederate pension book indicating that his son handled the final expenses. No dates, unfortunately

Pulaski Brooks was my g-g grandfather, but since my grandmother died when my father was very young, I never had any ties to that side of the family. I would love fill in this puzzle piece in my family history.
