|Lillie Riney||James R Hume|
Question - Do you think James had more than one wife? The reason I ask is that I just did an obit on Susanna Page (Combs Cemetery) and in it there is reference to Mrs. Litha Hume as being the only living child. Her husband Charles Hume obit states Mrs. James R. Hume is only living child.
I really have no idea. I entered my information from Cemetery Records and have no other information. As you can see, their child Roberta died age 20 years. I don't know if that makes a difference or not. I had a little trouble understanding your message.

Thank you for providing Belle's parents. I was glad to link them together. Appreciate your diligence. Thanks.

This is wrong. Catherine B Remling is not the spouse of Henry Remling. Also look at the age difference. Please correct.

Thank you for all the work you do. You helped me get info on my family starting with Laken Hutson.

Thanks for the info. Added the obit and links to her husbands. This disproves trees that she married Jesse Wilbur Jacobs on line. Not a relative, but tracing relatives buried at the Athens Cemetery.

|David W. Martin||Martins of Scotland Co, MO|
We have communicated before, probably a few years ago.
I am descended from Wm Wills Martin's brother Samuel Granville Martin who moved to Knox Co from Scotland. I corresponded several years ago with Mrs Dochterman, I would have to look up my notes to find the date.
I have a question for you.
Last year I was contacted by a person who only called herself Ella. The contact was about the Thomas girls who married into the Martin family of Willis Martin. I think she might have been a Stosnider as the Thomas girls were from that side also. She knew a lot about the Martins and where they were buried, even the ones in unmarked graves.
However, Ella did not give me a return address or last name. I sent a letter to the postmaster of the town that her letter was postmarked, I think Arbela, asking to contact me. Has not happened.
Would you happen to know who this Ella is? She appeared to be of German background as she referred to children as kinder. Since she knew the burial places of some of the Martin men, I would really like to know more of her connection and interest. And I would like to post that information to my Martin tree.
|April Fredrickson||Mary E. Pearce|
Mary E. Pearce 1857-1879 is buried in the Hickory Grove Cemetery in Scotland Co., MO. Her husband is Courtland O. Van Dyke born 1849 in IL. His father is Courtland Van Dyke b. 1811 and buried in Hickory Grove Cemetery. There is no stone. Courland O. married twice more. I cannot find him after 1900.
|Elaina Stevenson||John and Lydia Grinstead|
There is a double listing for both John and Lydia Grinstead. One says they are at Hickory Grove Cemetery and the other says Mount Moriah Cemetery. I went to both cemeteries today (they are 6 miles apart). There are no Grinsteads at Hickory Grove. I found Lydia and other Grinsteads and took pictures at Mount Moriah.
They are no relation to me. Could you resolve this issue with the manager of the other two listings?
