A native of Trenton, Grundy County, Missouri. I have had an interest in genealogy and cemeteries for many years. |
My family history in Grundy County dates back to 1838. My family includes, maternal surnames Whitney/Metcalf and paternal surnames , Griffin/Roberts.
I grew up in the Edinburg community, Grundy County, Missouri. Most of my family still reside in Grundy County. I have lived in Dallas, Tx, and in Missouri, Cameron, Excelsior Springs before moving to Chillicothe. This past February I moved back to Trenton.

I am not doing transfers at this time. Having said that, I transferred the three Wilcoxs to you per your request as I understand your desire to maintain them for their son. I also have a few memorials that I maintain and will not transfer as they were my grandmothers best friends. (Unless direct family requests)

|Shirley Smith||Faye Stamper Rorebeck|
I'm sure you know this from our last conversation that Faye Stamper Rorebeck's Legal name at birth was:
Lela Faye Stamper
She was my husband's grandmother and she always went by the name of Faye.
I've known for a long time that our extended families left together from Suffield, Connecticut to Broome County, New York and formed a sizable group. I've wondered for a long time about what the circumstances were for them to make such a move.
I came across this gem 'Annals of Castle Creek, N.Y., and vicinity, together with genealogies of some of the early families.' It all started with Sylvanus Phelps. He used to trek from Suffield to Castle Creek to hunt - I can't imagine! He made a sizable land purchase. He died shortly after one of his returns to Suffield. Later on his surviving brother, Apollos, distributed the land holdings. It's a fascinating account.

No I didn't know her, but I live in Austin and thought I could find her obituary easily. I did find it, but it didn't give more information. The funeral home might be able to if you contacted them.

You did not have a birth date for Mary Louise Francis. I thought this might be of help to you.

No problem. I know it is really hard to locate the older burials.

Actually Find A Grave does not want burial unknowns older than 30 days, it is meant to be a temporary status only . " Location of body unknown is used for recent deaths where the disposition is not currently known. Final disposition must be determined and updated within 30 days."
