Apitz
You are welcome! Glad I could help. I also added a photo of Otto Apitz, Christine's husband. There was also a Harold Apitz right next to them and I added a memorial for him too. Not sure if he is related but I'm guessing so.
Take care and best wishes to you.

Hi! Photos posted for him.

Also there:

Anna Kusmisz, 1898 - 1980

If you add a photo request for her I will post the photos I took of her grave marker.

RE: Braunberger
Hi M,
You are very welcome for the photo. What is 'written in stone' is not always so, it seems. Have you seen the Braunberger family stories and wonderful photos in the on-line history book "Beiseker's Golden Heritage"?
Kindest regards,
Deb

William, Caroline, and Emma Vogt
I was at Concordia Cemetery today and went to the location where the Vogts are buried. The cemetery office confirmed the location but there was no headstone and the office did not have a record of a headstone either.

I took a picture of the area where they are buried and will post it to each of the memorials for the Vogts.

Thank you,
Denise

John W. Clem
I do not think John W. Clem is buried at Danville National Cemetery.

You can search all National Cemeteries (including Danville, IL), and they do not have a John W. Clem listed in this cemetery.

I checked newspaper article, which lists a John W. Clem, F Co., 18th ILL Inf that passed away in Danville Soldiers Home in Barracks A, but it does not look like he was buried there.

I'm guessing that THIS MEMORIAL in West Frankfort, Illinois is the same person (Same Company and such)

Bertha Smith
Hi!
I just wanted to let you know that I tried finding Bertha's grave at Mt Washington in Independence, but sadly I was unable to locate it. I haven't "unclaimed" your request as I DO plan to go back this week and look again. But this time, I'll consult with someone in the office and see if I can get some help.
I had the plot information you provided and got a map from the office when I first arrived, but unfortunately the maps are EXTREMELY vague, as the lots are not marked on the map OR in the cemetery. I hadn't been to this particular cemetery before and was unaware of how poorly it's marked and how bad the maps are. Unfortunately, after looking for several stones I'd planned to photograph, by the time I got back to the office it was closed. So I'm going to make another trip out this week.
I DID want to let you know though-- that the area I THOUGHT Bertha's stone would be, had SEVERAL Smith's in it and a few of them weren't on FindAGrave. So I went ahead and made memorials for them. One of them is for Lester R. Smith Jr, who appears to very possibly be Bertha's grandson. Her memorial has a link to her son, Lester R Smith 1901-1966, and RIGHT in the same location where I thought her grave would be, was a stone for Lester R Smith Jr. #127820875. Also in the same little area was an Eleanor C Smith #127820781, Mary Frances Smith #127820960 and William O Smith #127820310. So these people may possibly be tied to her as well.

Charles William Saffell
Greetings MJ.

I hope you don't mind I did a little digging on the Forest Lawn Database. Regarding the Saffell family that are laid to rest there. The website list Charles William Saffell birth year as 1923 & the date of death 2012.

Take note that there are 2 more Saffell buried at the Forest Lawn (Hollywood Hills) listed. A Harold Victor Saffel 1901-1954 Memorial #124303479 & a Gertrude Eleanor Saffel 1902-1997 memorial #12303541.

On the California marriage index it list a marriage between a Charles William Saffell & Opal Husband on December 31, 1945. It also lists Charles father as Harold V Saffel & his mother as Gertrude Eleanor Nortey.

I think our 4 Saffell are truly related.

Have a wonderful day,

Betty's daughter Michelle...

Paanerazo Pozzi request
At Holy Sepulchre cemetery I came across a monument with the name Pizzi or Rizzi but not Pozzi at W-528. The wording is worn so it is hard to read, but it looks like there are two names, Americ and perhaps Ernesto. Could these be related?
Would you like me to post them so you can see them?

You are a great asset to FindAGrave! What a gracious person! Thank you for being willing to remove your site though it was older to accommodate the relative! I'm impressed! May you be richly blessed for being a blessing to others!
