Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been interested in family history since I was a kid. I started working on our family back in 1978 when my Grandfather suddenly passed and I thought....where did we come from? Ended up getting many family members interested and researching over the years. I enjoy my own family and also everyone else's family history. It is always very interesting and love to find things years forgotten. Everyone, even those who die as infants have a story to be told. I enjoy helping their stories to come to light.

finnegan request
A friend of mine and I went to Old Cathedral where your request for Finnegan was in section S we walked through the whole section and about where you said the headstone would be I did see a Finnegan headstone but there was no names attached to it just the last name. I have no idea if this is the headstone you are looking for but it was in the approximate location in which you stated. Let me know when you can. :)

I'm a distant relative!
What a trip! Hi, Eileen... my name is Courtney Hamilton, and I'm a distant relative of yours. My mother is Colleen Kearns, daughter of Mary Carter Kearns -- sister of Theresa. Their mother was Sue C. Finnegan, my great-grandmother.. her nickname was "Shorty", and my mom said she was the best Grandma ever. I am researching genealogy as well, and I'm constructing a family tree on

Cheers, and nice to meet you!

RE: Are you a descendant of Thomas Dunlap?
Thomas Dunlap was not a philadelphia fireman, but his son Samuel Dunlap was an Engineer in the fire department from around 1880 to 1908

What do you mean by sideways. The name is across the bottom reading from left to right. Would be glad to correct but don't understand your request. Alice

RE: Timothy Mahoney
Thank you

My Great Grandfather, Dennis Mahoney, emigrated with his Father Timothy to Kellyville in 1881 when Timothy's Son, also named Timothy, paid for their trip. Timothy Jr. emigrated earlier and sent for the rest of his Family. I believe Timothy Jr did live on Denison Ave. He died in 1924 and is also buried at St. Charles. He was the uncle of my grandfather and had no children.

My Great Grandfather, Dennis, had 10 children and lived on Burmont Rd. My grandfather moved back to his childhood home when his sister Sadie died in 1981.

Timothy Mahoney
Thanks for posting my great great grandfathers grave
How did you come across his obituary ? I would like to read what it said

Did it mention his wife's name ?
My records indicate her name was Mary and they had 8 children. I know some of them were buried in St. Charles, as was my great grandfather Dennis Mahoney. My grandfather died in the home the home he was born in 4 years ago, had the funeral mass at Saint Charles, which is just 300 feet from his house where they all lived.
