memorial #104870650
Roger, Do you have this Will below for William Wilson who married Nancy Dianna Green? Is there any way to prove William James Wilson memorial #104870650 was the William in this Will? I believe he was their son, just can't prove it. Thanks-Dwight Crowe

"The Will Of William Wilson"
In the name of God, Amen. I William Wilson of the State of North Carolina, County of Rutherfordton, being of perfect health, mine and memory, (Blessed be the Almighty God) (for the same) to make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following, that is to say, first I give and bequeath unto my oldest son Spencer Wilson, the sum of five shillings sterling, to be paid unto him by my executor or other heirs of mine and the cause is many good reasons this his portion is so small from me. Also I give my well beloved wife, Dianna Wilson, one hundred seventy (170) acres of land with the plantation and dwelling house on it, forever. Also I give and bequeath unto my son, Moses Wilson Twenty Dollars tobe paid unto him by my Executors or heirs of mine. Also I give my Daughter Phiby Wilson five shillings sterling also I give to my son James Wilson five shillings sterling to be paid unto them by my Executors or other heirs of mine. Also I give and bequeath unto my son Robert Wilson fifty (50) acres of land I bought of William Green and a saddle, to a paid unto him by my executor or other heirs, and the balance to be sold and equally divided among my children named Molly Wilson, John Wilson, Sally Wilson, Nancy Wilson, Moses Wilson, William Wilson, Thomas Wilson, Jane Wilson, Robert Wilson. Hereby revoking all former wills by me made in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal, this 7th day of December in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and six (1806). I appoint my son Thomas as sole executor of my last will and testament signed, sealed and published and delivered by the above named William Wilson to be his last will and testament in presence of us who have subscribed our names as witness in the presence of the testator.

John Moccasin Green and son, James
I think that your work has led me to my ancestor, John Moccasin Green. However, you show that his son James died in 1856; when,in 1857, James, who lived in Haywood County, wrote a letter for John's Rev. pension citing himself as John's son.

James' daughter Charlotte "Lettie" married my third-great grandfather, Moses Brown, who died in the Civil War. They had a number of children including my 2nd ggrandfather, Isaac Brown.

Gilbert Henry Thomas 81839050
It states on Find A Grave that Thomas,81 of Roses Branch Road, died Friday, Dec.27,2002. He was the son of the late LeRoy and Laura Woody Thomas.

Then you have Jobe Thomas under parents. I can assure you Jobe Thomas was long passed away before this Gilbert Thomas came along.

Please make corrections.
Thank you so much for all your work,

Jonathan Barron Will

I don't have the complete will of Jonathan Barron just an excerpt from it naming his children. It appears on the memorials of Catherine Carmilla Weatherman's brothers, viz: Henry Phifer Barron 26966023, Francis Marion Barron 28799042 and Pleasant Wilson Barron 64036631. You may want to add it to Caherine's memorial as well.

Thanks for your kind comments.

Old Lady Weatherman
Nice work you and others did researching "Old Lady Weatherman". Weatherman is the correct spelling. She is listed as a child in the will of her father Jonathan Barron, refer to memorial 64036631 to see the will.

Do you know who has proof for this information on "Find A Grave"? I would like to correspond with them. After searching for many years to find proof of this family,I am so excited to see this. Almost too good to be true. Whoever did this deserves a medal, because this has been a very difficult family to prove.
