The only rule we follow is the Golden Rule. We'll treat you kindly no matter what you ask of us. Transfer? Sure. Edit info? You bet. Use our photos? Absolutely.|
What we've learned during our Find-A-Grave journey is that life is too short no matter how many years you get. Walking through a cemetery slows you down, makes you reflect on the mark you will leave behind.
Be kind, people. When it comes down to it that's the only legacy worth leaving.

Dave & Pam: RE your memorials pertaining to Susan A. and Rosanna Stelzer who are located within the Oakwood Cemetery, Dixon, Illinois. I would appreciate it very much if you would consider transferring the responsibility of these two memorials, over to me.
Susan and Rosanna are the first two children born of Charles J. Steltzer and Edith A. Starry, Charles born in Prussia and Edith born in Frederick County, Maryland. Charles help build the stone arches in Dixon before relocating over to Jordan Township, Whiteside County, Illinois where they set up farming. Charles and Edith's final resting place is East Jordan Cemetery, Jordan Township. It would be greatly appreciated if I could obtain management of these two relatives, to join the many others I already have. Thank You. Herb E. Steltzer

Might you have any more information on Marie Gerdes? I believe she might be my great grandmother but my great grand mother arrived in 1882 with her then husband Fredrick Eden Gerdes and they arrived with children (john, Frieda and August)

Hi, I live close by and will be taking a floral wreath and basket for Memorial Day and I need to clean Mom's headstone too. I'll get some new pictures then. Thank you so much for offering though. Have a great weekend! Rhonda

Thank you for your message that he wasn't listed in the Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison, Whiteside County, Illinois (where his widow Jennie was indeed buried in 1941). I corrected and mentioned one and other now at his memorial.

I NOW understand how the wrong photo got into the Jindrich spot.
The listing is incorrect. Please correct. He is in Section 42, Site 404.
It was so wet out there today. I will go again tomorrow morning.
Have a safe and dry day,
