Bio Photo The only rule we follow is the Golden Rule. We'll treat you kindly no matter what you ask of us. Transfer? Sure. Edit info? You bet. Use our photos? Absolutely.

What we've learned during our Find-A-Grave journey is that life is too short no matter how many years you get. Walking through a cemetery slows you down, makes you reflect on the mark you will leave behind.

Be kind, people. When it comes down to it that's the only legacy worth leaving.

Thanks
Thank you for what you are doing. It is truly appreciated. If you want to add to my great grandparents info (Charles & Joanna Hatfield) their other daughter was Helen Louisa Hatfield Bousman who is at the Rock Island National Cemetery.

Thank for the response. On an outside chance looked up Lori on FB and she responded. Sent off the photos to her and heard this morning they had a family reunion. Her mother is still alive (93) and so got to see the photos as well. I'll get to your post and add them in in the next few days. Great linking up family like that. Good story about Selena's husband who joined the Civil War at the age of 24. A some of the family moved to Washington, so am guessing that is how the photos ended up in Packwood, Washington. Thanks again for the response. VR, Mags

John Henry Cropsey
Hi,
Do you cover Oakwood Cemetery in Dixon, IL? I keep hoping that John Henry (1825-1897) and Elizabeth Charlotte (Ballard)(1833-ca 1896)Cropsey will show up as a memorial, but with no luck. I know they are buried in Dixon, just not where.
Thanks
Dianne

Salena Roland Holt #51262355
Dave and Pam: You did the gravesite for Salena Rowland Holt in Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison, Il. This past weekend I was at a fleamarket in Prosser, WA and purchased two photos of a mother and daughter, the mother being Salena, and daughter Lulu. I've traced Lulu's daughter Norene to Wisconsin, but she died several years ago, so am awaiting info from the township clerk. However, see you indicated the info for Salena came from a gg granddaughter Lorie Sheffer. If you still have a point of contact for Lorie and would like to give her my email (mags911ada@outlook.com) I would love to get the photos to the family. Lulu looks to be about mid twenties, so thinking the photos were taken about the turn of the century. Any and all assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. VR, Mags

I hope you can help me locate my great great grandparents graves. You seem to have a lot of info on the Oakwood Cemetery in Dixon, Lee Co., IL. AsD you can see, my records show they were buried in the Old Catholic section. Do your records have anything? Could also be listed under Fahey, Fay, Fayhee, etc.

Hi,

I have a 1900 US federal census identifying one Edward Jacobs born in Union Grove in 1899 to a Frank and Christena Jacobs. His mom and dad and 5 brothers and sisters in the area. Might this Edward be part of that family. The only thing going is that thry have the same birth year.
Hannah and Minniw I have yet to find.

Jim
