If you write PLEASE indentify yourself with findagrave. We usually DELETE anything from people that we don't know.
We will gladly add or delete anything that you desire. Our memorials are meant to HONOR the person who passed away, and to leave a record of that person's life, so that those who follow can access the information.
We encourage you to use the "virtual cemetery". You do not need to OWN a memorial to use it.
We transfer according to the findagrave guidelines, but please ask. There are exceptions.
THANK YOU to all the good people who work so hard to make this an exciting and usable site.

This is my grandfather. I was wondering if you would be willing to transfer this memorial to me. (68001633) There are many things I would like to add to it. Would be much easier if I had access. Nickiewallace@hotmail.com if you would like to discuss privately. Thanks so much.

RE: Beckers
Hi,

Thanks for letting me know. I evidently have the wrong information on this Howard Becker and will delete the memorial. His name was posted in the cemetery records and evidently there is a headstone but they were both still living at the time.

RE: Edward Ewald
This one stumps me. The name does look familiar. I tried looking through my notes and my tons of emails to see if I sent a SAC to the creator of the memorial. Since it was done over a year ago, I couldn't find anything. I deleted my photo but I'm still confused. Thanks

RE: Edward Ewald
Thank you for bringing that to my attention. But what are the odds on two Edward R Ewald with the same year of birth and death being in the same cemetery? That's weird. I do notice that it reads husband of Laura. I will remove my photo and search for the other the next time I'm in the area. Thanks again.

RE: Navajo Code Talkers
Sounds like we think alike.
I have almost half native blood, Cherokee and Choctaw. Would love to be full blood.
I have a list of all the code talkers, when I get a bit I'll sort out the 29 and send'em to ya!!
Take care,
Bev

RE: Navajo Code Talkers
Have you read the book, Code Talker, written by Chester Nez with Judith Schiess Avila?
It's simply awesome. I'm just about finished reading it. There are things in there that I never knew. Makes one wonder at all the other things the government has under wraps that we'll never hear about!
I'm gonna try and find the locations of the graves of at least the original 29 code talkers.
Oh and the book has the Navajo code that the Navajo men developed from their language.
Simply amazing... all they did for this country and they weren't even allowed to vote until 1948... AFTER they'd already served in WWI AND then on top of all that, everyone of them went all those years and did the NEXT thing they were asked to do by THEIR government... they didn't tell a soul. SIMPLY AMAZING! I apologize if I sound as though I'm on a rant, but knowing the way Native American Indians have been treated all these years, just sad.
Anyway, thanks for all the awesome work you've done on the site. Wonderful site and awesome 'family' of folks as members. Glad to 'meet' you!! ~:}
Bev
